the manual (for both our cars) says 10 seconds... just don't over rev/drive your car during the first 5 minutes

but in real life, i do i 30 sec warm up. kasi matatagalan pa rin naman... bukas ng gate, lock ang gate, pila palabas ng parking...

pero kung 6 floors ka... medyo kailangan ng revving right? mga 2 minutes cguro...

In normal cases it's ok to start moving immediately once the oil pressure indicator lamp in your dash comes off and driving it slowly til it reaches normal engine temp. In your case of the car still climbing up is an added stress. Try warming up the engine for about two minutes then shift gear.

wag ka lang mag aircon habang paakyat ok na yan... unless wala sa tono makina mo di yan mahihirapan... usually di advisable mag rev over 4K pag cold pa makina pero under that walang problema yan...

what i usually do kung malamig pa ang makina ay mag drive muna ng mabagal, na di lumalampas ng 1,500 rpm, until it reaches operating temperature.

i read an article before na dapat di mo i-idle lang yung car pag cold start... the best way to warm the engine up is to drive it na, pero wag yung hataw agad, a gradual press on the gas with low revs sa pag shift is the best way... pa-correct nalang po kung mali po nabasa ko

Ssaloon, my sentiments exactly. Drive after a few seconds pero pahinay-hinay lang. If possible, dont use the a/c first to keep engine load low.

If you're going up an incline (as i do every morning sa street namin), just keep it in first or maybe 2nd gear with a slow speed as well.

Temp monitoring.
