    Gud am again sensei dieseldude,

Di ko po alam kung tama itong pag post ko pero I really wish that you geniuses could advise me what to do.
My ride is an import Pajero, boxtype, 4d56 engine. Newly overhauled po so within breakin period pa. My problems are:

    1) im hearing a knocking sound coming from the engine compartment;

What did your mechanic have to say about this? He will be in the best position to advise you as he overhauled your engine.

(He said that my engine sounds fine... If i want to eliminate the knocking sound, I should have my injection system serviced.)
BEFORE DOING THIS, CHECK PUMP TO ENGINE TIMING.

    2) i know its just the break in period, but when I took the SCTEX going to manila from zambales... my ride was having a hard time climbing the not so steep inclines thereat.

Did you have your fuel injection system serviced while the engine was being overhauled?

(Not yet... I would if it is already needed.)

My dad (which has a bit more experience with diesel engines than me) said that it is fuel knock.

    He could be right.
FUEL KNOCK IS OFTEN DUE TO WRONG TIMING OR FAULTY INJECTOR/S.

My ride already has this problem before it was overhauled. I just want to fix the problems of my ride 1 by 1 so that it would eTentually be fantastic.

There was no improvement after the overhaul?

(There was. The black smoke was reduced but not eliminated there's still heavy black smoke when im climbing inclines and when im about to accelerate from a full stop... but the torque did not improve, in fact i think it lost a little.)
CHECK AIR FILTER AND PUMP TIMING.

PS: I read in one of the threads that "petron power booster" is good in reducing if not totally eliminating the knocking sound... so please can anyone advice me on all of the above.

Petron power booster can help. But this is masking the problem, not fixing the problem. A good engine should run well without aid from any additives.

(As of now... I dont have the funding yet for servicing my injection system... is "petron power booster" a good bandaid solution... and can I use it even if my ride is still in the break-in period?)
YES, AS LONG AS YOU FOLLOW THE RECOMMENDED MIX/CONCENTRATION.

    Thanks in advance

You're welcome.... (you are really GOD SENT master diesel dude) tnx again
    GOOD LUCK!!!

The question should be "magkano ba magpa service ng injectors". Think about this......
    1) Injectors and nozzles wear out. This is why spare parts are available.
    2) Some nozzles can be re-used, and some just have to go to the trash can.
    3) Nozzles coming from poorly maintained engines with very high hours/mileage cannot be put back to service.

Normally, reputable diesel workshops will help you, and they will only replace parts that are found to be unserviceable.
Cleaning can never fix a worn out part.
