Hi Diesel Experts people. I'm new here and I just want to learn more on how to maintain diesel engines making it it top shape condition always. Any Do's and Don'ts on preserving its engine. BTW, I'm planning to buy a second hand AUV this weekend. But to tell you frankly, I have no idea in diesel engines. Any tips on what should I look for before buying second hand AUV. Any info will be much appreciated.

    Maraming Salamat po.....

A tip I learned from diesel guru Dieseler:
*It is better to buy the cheapest air filter (~Php150.00++ at Glenn10's shop) you can find and replace it during EVERY oil change than buy an expensive air filter which you replace only every other oil change. A clean air filter does wonders for emissions. Of course, kung reusable ang air filter mo, then you don't have to replace it.

Any shop ba, pwede? SAlamat ulit...

    Dinamay pa ako heheheheh...

Speaking of Glenn, what is his exact store adress pala?

    Hi Hitman,
It would be good if you can bring along a mechanic so that he could check the engine of the 2nd hand ride.... para sigurado.

Also, try knocking around the AUV, to check if it has 'collision damage'. Yung use your knuckes and knock around the body.

Tapos look under the place where its parked, to check for leaks. Dapat walang puddles of oil, water and what-have-you.

Tapos TEST DRIVE ninyo... pag-ayaw nilang pa-test drive, then do your own driving, as in drive away as far as possible from them... hehehehe..

experienced on this? How about yung paggamit ng oil flushing sa makina, ok ba 'to?

Pag naglagay ka na ng bagong langis, hahalo ulit yun sa fresh oil mo tapos palalabnawin nya ulit yun thus shortening the life of your fresh oil.

Hitman: Just make sure na susundin mo yung PMS mo. My practice is every 5000 kms.

Kaso mukhang busy sila making money kaya hindi maka-log on.

crawdaddy salamat din, at least you found my post informative. :D

fierari: Tama ba yun? TAO PO!!! o MAKINA PO!!! ?
