Experience ko, mas malaki lang gastos every oil change, kasi 1.5 to 2 liter more ata compared to the non-CRDi engine. Other than that, pareho na lang siguro lahat.
Ang tagal na nung CRDi Starex ko, 2002 pa, from the greymarket. Dun ako naging diesel lover, kasi talagang power and economy combined. You get optimum power at lower rpms kaya ang ganda talaga.
For sure, papatok ng husto yan, and it will bring really great sales to Isuzu. Ang kaso, bagal nila eh, pati na rin yung Nissan. Imagine, sobrang mahal na Patrol, old school na non-CRDi engine!

Yes, I think BOSCH technology is better than Denso.
while browsing Pinoy HandyMan. I saw one article saying that, some CRDI have problems because of poor diesel quality?

i agree with you sir.. matagal ko na rin sinasabi ito. Isuzu should definitely upgrade their Crosswind to CrDi. If and when they do, magkakaroon na ng matinding kalaban ang Innova. It's a good thing that they finally decided to upgrade the Dmax to Crdi, at least now up to par na siya with other pickups and I must say, ang laki talaga ng difference dun sa luma. Altought about the Patrol, I'm pretty sure that the new one (super Safari Edition) is already a CrDi. My friend just got one and it's very very powerful. Medyo matagtag nga lang for an SUV.

July 13th, 2007 12:33 PM #27the first crdi vehicle that i was able to drive was the new Everest at the world trade center. i used to hate diesels for the freakin clatter and the slow ass acceleration (for example, my grandma's hilander and old liteace). parang nakakapagod sobra mag drive ng diesels kasi parang hirap na hirap but damn the new crdi equipped everest is a lot more quiet and the torque is just fantastic. yes, may clatter pa rin pero sobrang laki ng improvement over the old non-crdi engines. Even with the same fuel consumption or kahit mas worse pa yun crdi (which is not true) id still get the crdi kasi iba yun comfort and quietness. from now on the only diesels id drive are the crdi ones.

Hyundai, Kia, Isuzu use Bosch
Ford Focus 1.8D TDdi BHD/AB use Bosch too. I believe Bosch din ang gamit nila sa ibang Ford Vehicles.

IIRC they're with AVID. The reported numbers in the TG article are from CAMPI.
