sir , try to adjust the screw outward. then feel the blow off valve in the engine compartment by revving the engine and feeling if there is air blowing off the BOV.
ofcourse, you are doing this while stop and the hood is open. and preferably with a buddy so you can focus on the BOV and let him do the revving.
additional - if your bov has been working since and you have not done anything to the engine. theres a big possiblity that it is already broken. try to replace with a working unit from a friends car.
