    1) ignition timing = degrees BTDC in relation to respective RPM

    2) valve clearance = INTAKE & EXHAUST

    3) stock jettings = pilot/slow jet, primary & secondary

i doubt any engine will run at this ignition timing, not even the computer controlled ignition. some ignition system go as high as 36 degrees at higher revs. when you check igniton timing, it is set at idle speed with electronic spark advance disabled or both the vacuum and centrifugal advance disabled.please check again.

try 7 degrees BTDC first and test drive, if memory serves me right it is between 7 to 9 degrees BTDC at idle with vacuum and centrifugal advancers disabled

you might have been talking about ignition points dwell angle. 360 degrees divided by number of cylinders multiplied by 60% +/- 2 degrees

i used to have this engine on my owner jeep before. bulletproof engine, as in matibay. medyo advanced ang timing ko dito, 10 BTDC. ang valve clearance ko, parehas lang ang i/e at 8. ang jet ko naman 80/95. hope this helps.

thanks sa link sir... yes i also watched that video using a timing light and unfortunately i dont have one, .. so i just prefer the vid posted above. I think i know whats the problem why it wont light on my tester screw driver, i cant find the breaker point or they call it contact point, it was already converted to electronic igniter so i dont have the contact point anymore... :D .. they said it is better than the contact point thing well in terms of durability.

so sad im too excited when i got my tester screw driver from a store to perform the procedure..

4k engine valve clearance, idle speed, ignition timing
