Air Filter na deformed.help po.

Guys,

tanong ko lang po kung pwede pa po ba gamitin yung air filter na nadeformed kasi habang nililinisan ko yung filter at tinataktak bigla ko naihagis na deformed ng konti, pero kasya pa siya dun sa casing. masama po ba kung gagamitin pa ulit ito? o mas advisable kung palit na lang.?

it's you who can answer that. do you think the damage is not too great that air can leak bypassing the filter? did the paper break or deformed making it bypassable?

di naman po masyado malaki ang damage, yung paper filters po na deformed lang pati yung aluminum screen.. naging curves instead of straight lines.

Replace na.

As Rion wisely suggested, it may not be filtering properly as air might be bypassing through the deformed casing.

It may also do more damage if the filter media disintigrates and is sucked into your engine.

With the high cost of diesel, your fuel consumption may improve with a new air filter.
