He added that there's no need to check the wiring because both high beam would malfunction if there's a problem with the wiring. So I believed him and replace both bulbs for P350 each. The brand I think is Zip (80W/100).

(Day 0-7) = Okay pa naman both bulbs.
(Day 8) = Nawala ulit yung high beam ng left side.
(Day 9-11 ) = Bumalik yung high beam ng left side. (Everything's okay)
(Day 12-18) = Nawala yung high beam at low beam ng left side.
(Day 18-19) = Nawala yung high beam ng right side.
(Day 20-21) = Bumalik yung high ng right.

Have a competent auto electrican check your wirings. I suspect may loose wire or malfunctioning relay ka.

Hard starting and battery overcharging has nothing to do with the headlights.

you have a loose connection on the back of the head lights that causing it to do this or dirty connector or corrode that need to clean. Just check the connection, Im sure you'll find it.

Better find another electrician.

By the way, bulbs don't charge the battery - they discharge it. The higher the power (in watts), the bigger the drain.

it might be the headlight socket itself. also add a relay for bulbs with higher consumption.

Baka yun relay mo. Also check the sockets that goes into the relays.

Yung socket nga yung may problem. Nasunog yung socket at lumobo yung bulb. Shouldn't have trusted the shop owner who said okay lang maglagay ng 90W/100 kahit hindi na palitan yung socket.

    hmm..

    my car's an altis 2002 (hb4 lows; hb3 highs)
    initially stock
    then switched to 100w superwhites
then one went kaput, melting my left socket as well.
then changed the socket and bulbs to 55w superwhites
then added a hella relay kit and switched back to 100w.
now, i bought a 50w hid and it worked properly the first 3weeks.
then the left side would sometimes work (meaning most of the time hindi sumisindi)
one night ago, both hids wont work but my high beams are working. (another set of bulbs) tried to ignite them, ayaw talaga.

i dont know if its because i bought the HID dirt cheap and came with a faulty ballast or the relays just gave up. (for the meantime, i unplugged the power from the ballast)

just wondering, how much would relays run? and what other parts might be damaged?

    thanks.

it's probably the ballasts themselves or the connectors. have it inspected.

normally all the cheaper hid brands will have sockets compatible with one another so fixing it shouldn't be that hard.

    the ballasts nga! hahaha..

got them replaced last saturday... sadly with the same brand and also the same wattage.. pero the shop told me to remove the relays together with its harness.. so.. sana it would last longer now..
