    Did you shake the bulb when you tried it directly to the battery?
    Did you check the terminals and sockets of the bulb?

    Dinala ko na sa banawe and found out that the column switch is broken. Saan kaya mura makakabili (brandnew or surplus) non? Tnx.

    most problems with this steering mounted combination switch are burned or pitted contacts which can be cleaned or filed or sanded with a 240 grit sandpaper
