i motolite because they're reliably just a phone call away. delivery and installation within an hour, whether it be in the residence, in the office, or in the mall parking.

i jawe coz it near me... very convenient

i can go there now, get a new battery installed, and be back at the office in less than half an hour

Why opt for such stores when you know someone who sells Energizer car batteries? I know two people.

I go w/ Reliability/Longevity, Price, Ease of Purchase & Warranty Claims. Motolite has dropped the 1st 2. So far, been good w/ Delkor, GS Yuasa & Panasonic.
I'd probably try Energizer if/when there'd be a good dealer I know near me.

It's because that "M" battery always picks the most inopportune time and place to fail. The M people knows that and they're cashing in on both their batteries' relatively poor service life, at the same time, cashing in on customers for "premium" delivery service.

Their business model: You pay for a product that will put you in a jam and then you pay more money to get you out of it.

the M is quite predictable.
expect it to fail within 2 months after warranty lapse.
it is good practice to replace it once warranty lapses.
like my colleague.
she never had battery problems again, since she started the practice.

they want to squeeze the very last electron from their batteries, before replacing it.

Had a very good experience with Bess-J Enterprises.

The 3-year-old Panasonic in our XV died this morning just when I was leaving the kids' school after picking up supplies. Googled a store and Bess-J was one of the first to come up. Called and gave them my details. The rider arrived in 30 mins with complete tools including a backup battery to keep the electronics alive. The rider also wire brushed the terminals and cleaned the battery tray. Install was done in less than 10 mins.

1SM 24months Php6,100. Traded in the Panasonic for 200 so total came out Php5,900.

Sir IIRC you're from Taguig? I'll save Bess J nga in my directory. Do they have a mobile number, I saw the landline sa Google, near cash and carry lang pala.

No issues in acquiring either Motolite or Amaron or Energizer on my end. The Amaron dealer is just outside the gates in my subdivision. I know personally two people where I can buy Energizer.

I gave up with Motolite long before. I am just disappointed that their batteries last within the prescribed warranty period. Like not much added value as you pay for 18-21 months so you get 18-21 months. For the same price, you get an Amaron that lasts much more than the warranty period.

Yup I'm from Taguig and there's a new Amaron store on C5 just a few blocks away from the house.

But the batt died in Makati so I searched around the Makati area because I guessed there's a better chance that one of them delivers. Got lucky

They gave me the rider's personal mobile number for tracking but I guess it's best if you call their landline.

ask ko lang nakaka apekto ba ang cold weather sa starting ng oto? lalo pa recently nag uulan.
napansin ko kasi parang 3days na this week, pag start ko sa umaga bago umalis ng bahay and sa hapon bago umalis ng office, medyo may slight hesitation pero tumutuloy naman.
pagka start nasa 14.2 to .3 ang voltage. then pag normal operating temp ang voltage na is 13.8 to .7. inoobserbahan ko pa din.

strictly speaking, yes.
many chemical reactions (what the battery does to generate electricity) are slowed down with cold temperatures.
but, in my opinion, this is probably truer in temperate or frigid zones, and not as much in the tropics.
my guess is, your battery is probably showing signs of age...

my car starts the same way, whether summer or xmas time...
