I had the defective motolite brought to the motolite main office in Sampaloc. The guy tested it and concluded it is indeed defective. But his manager insisted the result is considered inconclusive bec. the battery must be installed in the vehicle first. But how can we do when the battery fails to start the vehicle in the first place? His reply: Ask people to "push" start the vehicle for us. The next day, we returned with the vehicle (Amaron installed). They didnt even bother testing anymore and said that we can get a replacement unit from the original batt reseller (dealer). We go to the dealer and now he says that we need to wait for stocks from the main office to arrive. Its been two weeks now and still no stock. Amazing.

I'm going to avoid Motolite from now on.
    Same here.

Ganyan ka bad service ng motolite espana.

Brought 2sm excel for warranty 24mos. Dami palusot nung manager.

    1. Need daw official receipt. - pinakita ko
    2. Need daw itawag saan nabili. Sila daw magrereplace - sabi ko e kyo nga main branch e
    3. Need daw dalhin car at itetest - wtf sabi ko dalhin ko next week.

Dami palusot ! In the end. Have my rights to claim for replacement batt

Kainis lang. Hugas kamay sila lahat kesyo sila maccharge kapag hindi sinunod e samantalang pa tayo tayo lang ung manager na payat na matangkad.

put your feet in their shoes, po. "they don't own the business; they only work there."

how will they verify one's claim, if one doesn't have proof of purchase?
they want to be sure that the cause of battery failure is the battery itself, and not the vehicle's defective charging system.

good luck with your claim. i hope you get your new battery.

the guy had the proof of purchase... we already live in the modern age that a battery can be tested with a computer without the vehicle...

the battery brand would want to earn money by selling you one out of disappointment than preserving their reputation, well why not, products made in the philippines are more expensive vs. their imported equivalent due to that electricity for production is VERY EXPENSIVE here...

i was addressing the point, po, on why such resibo was being asked, and not whether or not TS had it with him at that time.

a battery brand older than us, that is more interested in making a fast buck and not maintaining its reputation?? i do not think so. but this is my opinion only.
but corporation is one thing, and people working for the corporation is another thing, even as these guys are supposed to espouse the corporation's ideals.
the motolite outlet i have been patronizing for years now, gives me no issues to grind. they gave me a brand-new replacement battery, once, without batting an eyelash.
in retrospect, if there are many complaints about that one espana outlet, there must be something fishy about its ....

...the assumption being, such computerized equipment is readily available in their shop.
what if they don't have it?
in my experience with another motolite outlet, no such hi-tech computerized equipment was used when they tested my dying battery. they tested my car's charging system and the battery, using what i deemed "ancient but working" equipment. no big issue with me.
in fairness, they once found out that it was my charging system that was at fault, for my dying battery.

also, if that motolite store is in fact not an official outlet but a battery store selling motolite and other brands, you might experience resistance on their part. i do not know why. but it was an observation kuwentoed by officemates.

    but i have a question.
when i have my dying battery tested in the outlet, i always bring the car i use it for, because i want its charging system checked, and also because... mabigat at hassle ang mag-tanggal at mag-dala ng maruming baterya, e!
guys, how many of you, bring the car when you have its dying battery tested, and how many bring just the battery?

So our Accent's [replacement] Motolite Enduro White battery that I purchased some time June 2014 gave up last 02 July 2017 after 3 years of service.

So punta ako sa Nel Battery Center [Laguna], I was surprised kasi they were not selling any Motolite batteries anymore, Amaron na and other brands. Eh dito samin, Nel = Motolite.

    ===

Old Battery [15 months lang pala to, buti umabot ng 3.1 years]

New Battery [nagkamali ng sukat pa, 1SM pala Accent eh 2SM ang unang binigay]

Got another Amaron HiLife this time for the Carnival. Price was 5600 including 300 discount for the old Motolite. The Carnival used to skip a beat when cranking, and cranks longer than I would've liked especially during cold start. Battery tester at Jawe said the old Motolite was only running 9V.

Now waiting for the Santa Fe's old Motolite to run out...

Suggest sa batt shop na lang bro. May habol ka pa sa warranty. Less hassle. Besides cheaper, than in lazada.

Does the 4,400 price include shipping cost?

does lazada also offer "old battery trade-in fee" ? it'd probably cover the 200 bucks' difference here. sila pa ang mag-tatanggal ng lumang baterya, at mag-lalagay ng bagong baterya. lilinisin pa terminals ng sasakyan.
many of the actual stores with puwestoes, do these.

Yung posting price sa lazada excludes shipping cost. Your choice anyways.

like what the others have said, sa mismong authorized distributor/battery shop na lang ikaw bumili. mag canvass ka na lang kasi i'm sure meron pang masmumura kesa sa lazada

besides, kapag sa dealer ka mismo bumili, may warranty na kasama sa purchase mo, sila pa magakakabit ng battery especially kapag delivered to your doorstep

Thanks guys. Nagkakaproblema pa nga pala ako kung san ko ilalagay ang lumang battery. Agree sa battery shop na lang ako bibili ng battery.

You can buy Amaron at the one along Q.Ave (bago mag Pantranco, tapat ng Fishermall) for P4,300 (P4,600 less P300 trade in).

We bought one for a Vios recently and it was around 3.9K (in Pampanga). This was the one with the lowest warranty.

the amaron battery i used suddenly died 8 days shy of 2 years. hindi nagparamdam na humihina na or tumatagal na yung pag-start ng sasakyan. basta ayaw na lang mag-start, wala na charge. tapos nung tinry i-charge sa battery shop, di na daw nagchacharge.

in comparison, yung motolite gold na usual ko binibili would last me more than 2 years. i just replace it before it reaches the 3rd year. tapos nagpaparamdam pag alam mong kailangan na palitan by longer starting times.

So yung amaron mo under warranty pa ba?

Where will you claim warranty if ever?

Doon din ba sa pinagbilhan mo?

Or does amaron have a service center where all warranties are processed?
