Thanks otep. It was a 40min roundtrip this morning from Diliman. No traffic and lots of parking. 3500 pesos for a 1snf without the trade in of the old unit. No need to keep the receipt or fill out the warranty card because they engrave the store name and date of purchase on the battery. Easy to find too. Its the building after Mcdonald and Philippine Rehab hospital. As to quality will know after 21 months and hopefully longer.

Just replaced my stock battery (1 year, 2 months old) with an Amaron 2SMF. I got it from Metrobat in Makati. The person I spoke with the night before (Max) was very helpful. He offered some suggestions why my battery was being drained after two days of not being used. He also said I could drop by Metrobat to have my battery checked.
So I went there the next morning and another guy (forgot his name) started "diagnosing" what my battery's problem was. After five minutes of testing, he said his hydrometer broke and couldn't test the water level. He also said my battery seemed OK, except that the voltage was constantly dropping.
To cut the story short, Metrobat couldn't tell me whether my old battery was fine or whether it was time to change it. The guy said the only way to find out was to disconnect the battery and wait for two days to check if there's a significant drain. I had checked my electrical system for parasitic drain and everything was normal based on my own tests (0.03A drain with everything off). Anyway, I decided to replace the stock battery with Amaron to avoid any more headaches and keep my sanity.
So the guy replaced it. In the process, he lost one of the clips of my air duct and I was forced to look for a replacement. I noticed the clip I had wasn't identical and I couldn't screw it in. I left it with him and soon after everything was in order. Or so I thought. I found out later that he had forced it in and it took 10 men to pry it off. But we're getting ahead of ourselves.
During the next four days, I noticed that my fuel consumption wasn't going above 4km/L. I suspected something wrong about my engine bay, and sure enough, I found out that my air duct wasn't completely seated because one of the metal hooks holding the Amaron battery in place had not been correctly installed and was jutting out, lifting the air duct and causing it to be slightly disconnected. I just fixed it myself. That was when I found out the clip holding the air duct onto the chassis had been forced in.
So if you're planning on getting an Amaron, I wouldn't recommend Metrobat. Find another dealer just to be on the safe side.

Sir, may i know what is your vehicle? kailangan pang tangalin air duct clip para ipasok sa tray ang baterya? kindly post the findings of your stock battery after 2 days.
I have an ASX, where the air duct is directly on top of the battery. My stock battery had 52Ah, while the Amaron I got had 65Ah. My voltage is no longer dropping overnight. Based on my calculations, it would take 36 days before I get in a no-start situation when the car isn't used. I hope. >:->
65Ah x 40% / 0.03A /24h = 36.1 days
*NOTE: Using up about 40% of available capacity normally takes a fully charged battery to a no-start condition
About my stock battery, tinrade-in ko na for P200 para di na 'ko mapuyat kakatest. Hehe.

P3500 pala ang 1SM kay Jawe, went to ask last week, kaso less P100 lang pag trade in.
The next day ayaw na magstart.
Di ko na-checkPero parang tanda ko di nga umabot 24 mos ang warranty. Bago pa naman yung sakin so no feedback on life span yet.
Planning to buy an AMARON BATTERY when I have the budget na, sulit na din yung MOTOLITE ko na WHITE (ENDURO).
