i cannot answer your question directly but let me cite my experienced as an example. 1st pms ko is mineral oil ang nilagay which is mas mura.
2nd pms ko, last Aug 2013, fully synthetic na ang nilagay and of course mas mahal sya. but ang sabi nun casa ay, sa Dec 2013 PMS ko ay dagdag na lang ng oil then palit oil filter. bali sa April 2014 pa ako mag chachange oil. kung ganun nga ang mangyayari, the bad thing is hindi ko nakuha yun sobrang oil para yun na lang ang idagdag, so ngayon bibili pa ako. so ang advise ko kung mag fully synthetic ka, kunin mo un sobrang oil hehehe

but still, not sure pa din kasi now pa lang ako(2nd pms) nag fully synthetic, so sa Dec 2014 ko pa malalaman. pero I hope yun ibang owner ay makapag share ng kanilang exp

Wala sinabi yun chevy carmona na palit filter lang on next pms or 4mo. basta ang gusto nila every 4mo ang change oil synthetic o mineral ang gamitin. di ko din nakita kung synthetic sinalin nila or mineral kasi hindi daw pwede pumasok sa loob. may bad experience kasi kami sa toyota kaya gusto ko makita trabaho nila. sa mga nabasa ko kasi from previous post every 6mo ang oil change pg synthetic ginamit. sa ibang forums nga na nabasa ko once a year or 15k km ang pms nila.

Pansin ko lang, those Chevrolet dealerships owned by the Juno Cars Group (Alabang, Laguna, Pasig and Shaw) insist on changing the oil every 5k kms or 4 months whichever comes 1st, mapa synthetic o mineral ang gagamitin. Eh the user manual of the Trailblazer and Colorado say otherwise with regards to using the dexos2 specified fully synthetic oil. The manual says every 10k kms or 6 months whichever comes 1st ang oil change pag dexos2 oil ang ginamit. Most Chevy dealerships follow that procedure. Ang papalitan lang every 5k kms or 4 months whichever comes 1st is the oil filter and if you use mineral oil, the engine oil.

From the southern tagalog na dealership meron kaya?

Almost all Chevrolet dealers follow that SOP. Not necessarily kung saan mo binili doon ka magpapaPMS. We bought the Trailblazer at Otis-Manila, it's being serviced and maintained at Commonwealth

Thanks for the input.

Next time name drop mo si Lito Landicho. AVP for Service ng TCCCI. Galing mismo sa kanya yung memo stating na every 6 mos. or 10k kms ang oil change interval pag dexos2 fully synthetic oil gamit mo . Pero babalik ka pa rin every 5k kms or 4 mos. to change the oil filter and for the dealer to check for loose bolts and other loose parts na i-reretighten nila, and to check the brake pads din.

From what country are you referring to sir? Here in the Philippines, the reason why there are short intervals for PMS is the fuel quality. As you know, Philippine law states the use of Euro 2 standards for fuels, although the small oil companies are already using Euro 3-4 standard fuels. The problem nga lang, the small oil companies have fewer fuel stations than the Big 3 oil companies (Petron, Shell and Caltex), that is why the majority of motorists especially in the provinces tend to use the Euro 2 standard fuels of the Big 3.

Sorry I forgot to mention my location. I am in switzerland.
The sonic is my first brand new car and i do not know anything about car system maintenance. Would it change anything? Kasi yung standards are for emissions naman diba?

    Thanks!

Shell is still using Euro 2 standard fuels. No it won't change the PMS interval. Until the Big 3 oil companies here is still using Euro 2 standard fuels, PMS intervals are still shorter than countries using Euro 3-6 standard fuels.

Go to the nearest one sir pero since the owners of Chevrolet Commonwealth also owns Isuzu Dagupan, I think you can claim the insurance (if you will be getting in-house insurance of Chevrolet Commonwealth) there even if the repair estimate came from Chevrolet Dagupan

Good evening sirs. i saw from the posts that different chevy dealers are owned by different people. let's say i got one from chevy north edsa (Caleb's), can I go and have my PMS at chevy alabang (Junno's)? magkakaproblema ba ako sa mga warranty claims?
