thanks raq...its always nice to get updates from users unlike if you test drive it for an hour...big difference..

do you advice buying the diesel? some people say its like a "bird" in the engine... true or not? is it really powerful? how's the torque? can you drive super fast in edsa at night?

yes would highly recommend the vcdi it has lots of power and torque on demand. no problem overtaking, just step on the pedal and it will respond immediately, not much turbo lag. no problem uphill to baguio kahit puno. ou can always use the tiptronic if you want more control. speed? akala mo di siya diesel. crdi engines are powerfull. reached 180kph already sa sctex. sinubukan ko lang and meron pa ibibigay takot lang ako. consumption? was empty then gas up ako 500pesos, went to qc from dagupan 31st october used it daily qc area til yesterday nov. 2 papunta mandaluyong dun na lang nag red light. matipid siya para sa akin especially compared to my starex.

I don't have a honda but i guess it's cheaper than a honda. pms ko sa casa inclusive na lahat pati is 5-7ihou. i belive this is cheaper or is reasonable considering it's a diesel and needs like 7 liters of oil.

not a problem, if you think like a 35 year old, then you're in...maybe raquino can organise this whole thing? like next month?

is your captiva diesel or gas? if its diesel, do you hear the "noisy humming bird" in the engine? hehehe...

do you get admiring glances as well?

have you experienced the white smoke in the pipe?

    A dark grey looks better.

BTW, I hope you are fine with the Captiva's lack of performance (very very very slow acceleration).

Kung meron lang gas yung montero probably pareho na presyo nila ng captiva gas.

So I ended up buying the montero and buti na lang. Ride ng montero mas maganda than my civic and altis 2002 models, even third row ng montero mas maganda pa rin as compared even sa front seat ng both civic and altis, no exageration. Captiva is ok pero price wise dun ka na sa montero.
    good day

sir avid monty owner ka pala visit mo thread ng monty sport at join ka na sa mscp club ..btw i had two friends who owns a captiva diesel and they were both satisfied with their ride ..kulangn ang daan para sa kanila ..daw he..he..

    cheers

He he he, with the kind of roads & traffic conditions here in Cavite, di ko na kelangan ang acceleration. 5 min. ride from Imus to Sm Bacoor most of the time will take almost 1 hr. or more. Grabe. Thanks sa color suggestion mo, my wife won.

i don't think na very very slow ang acceleration. malakas naman siya. meron lang initial lag pag apak mo pero after a short while hahataw na. ok naman accelaeration niya better pa than the tucs para sa akin.

It has a decent acceleration naman & breaking. It is bigger than the Tucs/ CRV and smaller than the Monty/Fortu, hindi sya bulky. Good looking din. Pang small size family talaga. Di ko pa lang alam kung kelan gagamitin yung tiptronic gear shift nya?

With regards to speed, there is one SUV owner na nakipagkarera sa Captiva sa STAR tollway in Batangas & guess who won? D' Captiva won. He kept on asking wht is the top speed of the captiva? The SUV owner ended up buying one. he he he
