Guys, FYI lang, ito ang mga recommended viscosity at API rating ng mga engine oil para sa mga Duramax Diesel natin. Bawal talaga ang API CF at mga 5W40, 10W40, 10W30, 5W30 na API CI-4 at CJ-4 engine oils. Malinaw na malinaw sa manual.

i think based on the manual, you can go 10,000kms / 6 months ONLY on Dexos 2 5w30.

with regards to 15w40 motor oils with API CI-4 and CJ-4 or better, there are choices out there but its expensive to go fully synthetic because the manual states that the oil is only going to be good for 5,000kms / 4 months usage.

Top 1 SDO is 15w40 with CI-4 rating.

I wouldn't dare to race my Fort against a TrailB. HP pa lang alam kong kakapusin na ako. (Assuming parehong walang kaluluwa yung driver)

Give me a Fort with the same spec and engine. Tsaka lang ako makikipagkarera. (Again assuming walang takot mamatay pareho yung driver)

Ang acceptable na 5w30 is dexos2. As for the API CI-4 and CJ-4 rated oil, only 15W40 is the acceptable viscosity. The former is only available at Chevy dealers (but I'm currently negotiating with Autoplus to bring the 5w30 dexos2 oil of Motul here), the latter is available anywhere.
