guys ano po ba talaga? nakakalito. confirmed bang hindi na rebadged daewoo ang chevy cruze?

yung optra alam na nating rebadged daewoo yun.

sabi kasi dito sa link na to, it's the other way around this time na daw. it's a chevy being rebadged as daewoo.

yan din sabi ng isang poster dito sa thread na to on page 8
    http://tsikot.yehey.com/forums/showt...t=65063&page=8

maiisip naman ng iba ba't papayag ang chevy na i-rebadge ang product nila to a known less superior label diba?
i found the answer here as to why.

"The Daewoo brand is only for Korea. I believe this brand is more popular in Korea than Chevrolet. Most non-luxury GM cars sold in Korea are badged as Daewoos, this includes the Korean market Holden Statesman and Saturn Sky."

according dito, the chevy will be rebadged as holden in australia.

factory pics of cruze, sa china to.

Radeon, I have pm for you.

Holden is still part of the GM group. It may be that the Cruze will carry the Holden badge in Australia as most GM cars are sold as Holden's in Australia. But it remains a true "world car", label lang ang pinalitan, quality & durability is still exceptional.

I'm not so sure about the rebadging to Daewoo in Korea. That may be, but it doesn't detract from the fact that this is manufactured to world standards, not Korean standards.

i agree with WRC ever since the crisis sa states, chevrolet put everything they got into the Cruze (or whatever badge it has around the world). The mains specs about the car are standard around the world.. (not including some minor differences such as bluetooth, interior colors, and others). The changes are to suit the country being sold in. here in the philippines.. wala yung diesel variant and the 1.4 turbo charged variant.

despite the differences, the overall quality is still the same around the world. comparing it to other cars in its bracket, it has the "new car" advantage as well as the best safety features.

in all honesty, i found the civic and the altis to accelerate faster than the cruze but the cruze was more stable when being driven. It was like a rock

about the daewoo.. it was designed sa korea (korean car designs are becoming more and more popular these days). even though it was designed there, it's still an all american muscle car.

*wrc wala po akong natatanggap na pm galing sa iyo po.

okay that's good to know. na this time ang cruze ay di na tulad ng optra na isang daewoo car rebadged as gm.

When GM decided to build a true "world car" they assembled a team of experts from their global organization + acknowledged automotive experts outside of GM. The Cruze was designed by this team, so it has inputs from all over the globe. You will notice that the Cruze has features from USA, Europe & Asia combined into the vehicle.

So it is not a Korean car, it just so happens that Philippine Cruzes come from the Korean factory. Be that as it may, Cruze cars manufactured in India, Europe & USA have the same features & durability. So to say that the Cruze is a Korean car is totally misleading. Having said that, neither is it an Indian car. It is truly GM's world car.

    yup buti naman ganun.
kung ang car companies lang sana eh di nagrerebadge, wala na sanang confusion. to be really honest, it is a form of scamming the public din kasi ginawa nila. they know those cars(optras and other companies that do rebadge) wouldn't have sold much if they weren't rebadged from daewoo to chevy. just like nabasa ko dito sa thread na to, a salesman ata from chevy yun told one forumer here "na if binenta yan as daewoo, may bibili ba? kaya nirebadged as chevy. even though the standard is not of chevy quality.

makakarelate din to sa cellphones, but nokia in no way won't allow rebadging REAL nokia phones made in china as bokia etc etc

with regards to cruze buti nga talaga na ganun. na this time talaga chevy standard na at not daewoo/korea quality standard rebadged as chevy.
with regards to which factory it's made, imo we're lucky na ang mga binabagsak sa atin ay galing korea. lamang naman siguro sa quality pag built sa korea kaysa sa india diba?

WRC - The agent told me that there's no special break-in period nor anything to be followed in the first 1000 km. Pwede na raw hataw agad, pero I'll go with your suggestion - wala naman atang mawawala. Salamat!

Congratulations on your new ride sir! Correct, wala naman mawawala if we observe extra precautions for the first 1,000kms. After I hit that mileage, hinataw ko na Cruze ko. Share us your experiences rin sir.

wow! patok yung C3 suggestion ko.. hahaha btw, re break-in standard is not to exceed 3krpm ~ 100kph but the thing is wala pa sa 3k rpm on 5th gear nasa 100kph na.. and besides pre break-in na sa planta ang mga kotse kaya recommended na nila is 10k first PMS. For me just enjoy driving your car and i know you will know when to drive fast and to slow down.. vary your driving habits and i know you will not notice that you already hit the 10k mileage.. enjoy friends and hope we could get together to enjoy our cruze.. cheers!

Guys, be careful with your cruze. I had an accident 3 months ago. I had been using the cruze for only 2 months. I hit a tree. Three months na and it is still with the casa being repaired. Ang tagal.

By the way, the collision with the tree produced major damage but it did not destroy the engine. The hood, bumper etc were wrecked though. Drive carefully.

Year old, I had a 1 month old brand new Nissan Sentra b13 where I had an frontal accident. Bumper, hood, headlights, grill, signal lights were replaced. Took five weeks before my car was fixed and out on the road again.

Yan na nga nangyari kaninang umaga. Sobrang conscious ako sa speed/rpm naging delikado pa. Kaya hinayaan ko na lang... di ko na napansin 120 na takbo ko.

    Experiences so far:
    - On the ventilation: may nakakapasok ngang usok - I was deep into the normal SLEX traffic last night, pero after a while balik na naman sa new-car-smell
    - On the embarrassing sound when reversing: none

resident_evil - sorry to hear about your accident. If i may ask ano kulay ng unit mo?
