2010 Chevrolet Cruze!

Hi guys! I'm planning to buy the new Cruze(since Hyundai Elantra is not yet around).

I want to know the advantages and disadvantages of the Cruze.
And is it true that the maintenance of this car is hella expensive and the service of Chevrolet is dull?

is it possible to just stop by the CASA and ask them to check the a/c? and maybe clean it out and do any necessary things wtihout it being my PMS yet? and for free? i just wanna see if there would be a difference talaga after a cleaning. i'm barely 4.5k on the odometer.

ok bro.... about sa fan speed, wala na yatang magagawa kundi i-turn sa next speed setting.

baka next model ng cruze lumabas na din yung auto-climate AC.

set the desire temp,then turn on the auto AC,viola......

Visited Chevy Pasig yesterday because of the cooling problem of my aircon for the 2nd time since I got my unit last NOV 2010. Sir awallit had my air filter cleaned last DEC 2010 and it returned to normal, but cooling problems returned for 2 weeks now so I had it checked. Daily driver from Marikina to Makati via EDSA & C5 kaya siguro ganun kabilis dumumi ang filter kahit naka-on ang air circulation.

Sobrang itim ng old air filter and they advised me to replace it since nilinis na yun dati, free labor pero I paid for the air filter at 845php. Puwede kayang ibabad ito para pumuti uli siya so I can reuse it? I plan to canvass this weekend sa Banawe para may reserve na ako.

wag bro, baka di na magiging katulad ng dati ang pagfilter nya....baka maka-apekto pa ng lubusan sa AC system ng kotse mo o maging harmful sa mga pasahero....wala pa bang aftermarket ng AC filter? me AC Delco parts dealer na ba sa atin? mas maganda kung bago maski replacement parts man lang.

the problem here is that its a 4 months old car.. something must be wrong kung may napapalitan agad na parts. sa akin valve naman. sana ma-address ng chevy mga problem na ganito

Ask ko lang: Yung AC ba ng cruze walang automatic control na pag off mo ng system yung compressor lang ang mamatay pero ang blower ay tuloy takbo, kumukuha ng hangin sa labas para i dry-up ang evaporator coil? Natanong ko kasi meron ganito, bago ang design ng cruze baka lang. kung ganyan eh magdudumi nga dahil humihigop ng hangin sa labas. Pwede ring na ang damper ng source ay singaw kaya higop pa rin sa labas.

yung ride ko (not cruze) monthly ang linis ng filter. Minsan nag-amoy usok ang buga ng hangin kahit naka recirculation ang damper. Ang dahilan itong foam around the damper ay sira kaya hindi totally sealed ang passage from outside. inayos then ok na. Kaya monthly ang linis ng air filter kasi smoker eh, roll down ang bintana pag smoke time. naghahanap nga ako "filter mat". several pieces gugupitin sa tamang dimension para may spare, madali mag palit at mas mura compare sa original filter.

yan ang dapat...kung buksan man, kapag out of town ka o di kaya smooth ang biyahe sa highways. para di kaagad dumumi ac filter.

Agree. I have no problem on the coolness of the cruze. Its a matter of settings. I had my recent 10K PMS and I saw the pollen filter how it looks like and I realized the reason why cruze aircon blower seems slower compare to others. My Altis has no aircon filter thus stronger than the cruze at no 1..2 settings but coolness is just the same. At max settings they are equal. Also cruze compressor is very quiet. You can barely hear the clutch engage/disengage.

Mukhang sobra dumi yata nito sir. Yung sa akin at 10K/9 months medyo maputi pa di ko lang nakuhanan ng picture. Nilinis lang and I can feel the improvement. Replacement of filter should be every 20K. Ensure that setting is re-circulation and your cabin is always clean especially the matting otherwise have it check for any air leak coming from the outside. Keep in mind also na the stronger the fan speed the more it sucks air so keep to low fan speed setting as possible.

Hi! if you're looking for a good deal on a ducktail.. you can purchase a ducktail at the quezon ave chevy showroom for 2500, no paint yet. painted will cost you around 8k.mahal! what i did was canvass around and i found out that Atoy will cost you 2800 for paint and labor so all in all 5300 lang. Atoy is only 300 pesos more than the other shops di kay Atoy na diba..
