GRABE!!! Down 11% in one day. Parang the Lehman Brothers collapse back in 2008 yung impact sa markets... US stock futures are also sharply lower...
N225 DOWN 14%%% This is much much worse than Lehman Brothers for Japanese stocks... All other Asian markets are down significantly...
if i was in Tokyo, i'd evacuate
imagine total evacuation of a city the size of Tokyo
Saan naman kaya sila pupunta?
Para na talaga itong disaster movie...
Lots of countries issuing travel warning to Japan and urging nationals who are already in Japan to stay indoors and shut their windows...
I think the IAEC should help monitor those nuke plants also. Maraming speculative views are spreading all over...

State Dept. advises against travel to Bahrain
(AP) – 46 minutes ago
WASHINGTON (AP) — The State Department is urging U.S. citizens to avoid traveling to Bahrain due to "the potential for ongoing political and civil unrest."
The department is also advising Americans currently in Bahrain to consider leaving.
Bahrain has been swept up in the wave of protests that have arisen in the Arab world since December. On Monday, a military force from Saudi Arabia and other Gulf nations moved into Bahrain to shore up its Sunni Muslim rulers in the face of escalating Shiite-led protests.
Although the protesters have not targeted Westerners, the State Department is advising Americans to "be vigilant regarding their personal security."
It also says U.S. citizens should avoid all demonstrations, which "have degenerated into violent clashes between police and protesters on several occasions."
Saudi Arabia sent troops to Bahrain to help the Bahrain ruling family
Saudi Arabia is majority Sunni
Bahrain is majority Shia ruled by minority Sunni
Iran is Shia
where am i going with this?
we'll see
NYSE to invoke "RULE 48" to smooth the opening of trading volatility today...
Rule 48 halts the requirement for market makers to send pre-opening indications, or bid and ask prices created in auctions used to determine a stock’s opening price.

Saudi Soldier Shot as Bahrain Calls Emergency
By ALEX DELMAR-MORGAN And SUMMER SAID
MANAMA—Bahrain declared a state of emergency and a Saudi soldier was shot and killed, a day after Arab Gulf states rushed troops to the island in a bid to quash a growing antigovernment uprising.
Bahrain television said King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa had proclaimed a three-month state of "national safety."
In Riyadh, a Saudi official said a Saudi soldier has been shot dead by a protester in Bahrain. The official declined to give further details, but said the kingdom was investigating the matter.
In a further escalation of tensions, thousands were expected to march Tuesday on the Saudi embassy in the diplomatic district of Manama in protest over the arrival of foreign troops in Bahrain.
The country has seen violent clashes over the past few days between security forces, antigovernment and pro-regime loyalists, marking an escalation of tensions in the strategic Gulf state, where a swelling number of protesters have taken control of the key financial district and are calling for the downfall of the monarchy.
