If ever may issue, they refer to the CCTVs and documents on hand more than the system and IDs. Normally, issue sa check deposit is di nadedeposit ng teller kasi nakalimutan. lol

May audit trail din pala yung mga request ng bank certificates etc.

Pero yung titignan lang yung bank balance, wala.

Kapag tinginan ng balances or kahit anong data, mas powerful ang IT people over tellers.
Correct and this is the norm. Pero depends on the system used nga.

    A little OT.
As an IT guy, natutuwa ako kapag pinapatawag ako sa bank branch para mag-monitor ng unusual software-related problems nila. Kasi as in katabi ko ang mga tellers. Eh alam naman natin na most ng mga tellers ay girls at attractive.

    * 300 branches?

Several reasons for turnover: Low salary, natanggal for performance, not regularized after initial 6 months, regular employee churn, etc.

All multiplied by how many branches.

Pag multinational katulad ng inyo... ibang usapan yan. Depending on which multinational bank you belong to... you only have 2-4 branches here in metro manila... Kahit tig 20-30 employees pa per branch (already a generous number), madali lang bantayan.

Edit: I could be wrong :P
Parang feeling ko nga asar mga branch sa head office

Yup, only 6 branches in Metro Manila Stress pala mag work sa local bank. My former manager moved to BPI. She said she can hire me if I want to move but she thinks I will be shocked sa local bank culture.

Exactly! Aside from being a red flag, what she did is very UNETHICAL. The company or her manager is not her psychologist/therapist/life coach Employees represent the organization kaya his or her actions, even outside work are important. In our company, employees involved in immoral acts, grounds for termination din (eg adultery) Meron na rin na suspend samin because of NBA betting (big money involved pala dyan!)

    I would too.

Inisip namin sa buong company, pinaka powerful ang IT department. If IT decides to walk out and not work, we cannot function na hehe

Usually ang attractive samin mga personal bankers/sales for HNW clients. They hire employees that are attractive and from good background because they interact closely with the HNW clients of the bank.

Hindi ba 7 branches kayo sa Metro Manila?
And yes, local banks are totally different from multinationals. May pros and cons naman.

IT department is the eye in the sky. Specifically the hardware/infrastructure/network people
They "know" everything. They can check contents of emails and chats. Everything that goes through the network, they can see.

Oh yes, sales people. Aside from being physically attractive, they're very charming too.

Despite the high regard for the IT functions though, IT personnel in banks aren't really paid all that well, at least from my experience or maybe i just suck lol

Perhaps that is because IT is not the bank's main "product".
Is your salary higher than those in the same level as you but in a different department?

My cousin's ex was NOT kidding when she told me she had no savings. She showed me her 2 banking apps on her phone, her only accounts. I was surprised when she logged in and showed me the balances. I am 100% sure wala ng ibang bank account kasi she was honest naman, saka minsan umuutang pa yan sa Aunt ko LOL!

    CHASE
    Savings 26
    Credit Card - 0
    Credit Card - 68

Mas malaki pa utang sa savings

    BANK 2 (forgot the name)

    Savings 60
    Current 820
    Loan 12k

WTF! I would probably be dead from stress if I had those bank accounts. Funny coz she drives a brand new top on the line rav4. Maganda lang sa US, kahit wala ka pera, your medical bills are covered. That and the passport are the only reasons that make living in the US worth it.

I assume that otherwise stated, those are in USD (not in K USD)....

Okay lang sa mga Amerikano iyan,- the more credit they have the better credit standing when the time comes to borrow some more... Hahaha!
