^ i have doubts if they can just pack up BPO operations here and transfer it to the US. COL's April Tan points out that the average salary for a BPO agent in PH is US$2.50/hour(median siguro to, i don't think it's that low in MM), in the US it's US$10(Payscale.com estimates it at US$12-14/hour)...i think what could happen is that Trump will stop further expansion, and force them to source from within the US.

An analyst friend says it might be time to buy next week. We're actually getting ready to buy in if he says so.

$2.50/hr x 8 hrs/day x 22 working days a month x P49/$1 = P21.5k/month which is really the average wage of a call center agent in Manila. I've met agents in the provinces and their usual wage is around 15k a month.

Also, the high valuation of consumer stocks in the PH market already assumes that the huge growth in the BPO industry will continue. Even if Trump retains the existing operations but cuts on future expansion, that will severely dampen the positive outlook of our market.

The PH market is overpriced but people buy in because of our bright future prospects. If those future prospects get wiped out, the PSEi will rebalance at a lower level.

Pardon my ignorance...would Americans even want BPO jobs in the first place? Or at this point, they'd rather have any job than no job?

I think they want their jobs back.

When I was still working for an american offshore company dito, yung american CFO ng company namen who got the idea to setup our shared service center in Pinas was recently axed.. and napalitan ng local counterpart.

Yung sarili nyang idea ang nag end ng career nya.

Parang DU30 din si trump. Pinas first for du30 and US first si trump.
    Sana hindi sila mag-away.

If the Americans really want their jobs back, then they should not expect prices of some goods and services to stay the same. Reason for outsourcing is to lower prices for the American consumers.

Sa bangko ko ini-invite ako kung type ko daw invest daw parang stock market pero sila daw didiskarte.

Ano tawag sa ganyan investment at maganda ba timing ngayon? Kasi gusto ko magtubong lugaw like yung sa US dollar last year bago magdeclare election presdu around 42pesos ata. Tapos biglang nanalo din si "make america white again" So in just one year mag 50 na. Oh di ba lugaw na lugaw.

    guys konting advice naman hehehe
I have a small money in the stock market. Baguhan lang. The market rebounded (not sure of the word) recently and I have one stock earning almost 20% of its value (on paper).
As an investor (not a trader), should I sell these for a profit na?
