Boy am glad I didn't get the Shell IPO SHLPH.

For almost 20years na binalak maglisting, heto at almost as of this writing having 0.15% gain. Talo pa sa mga charges tsk tsk.

It's not that bad really. You can still sell all your SHLPH and then go shopping for other bargains. Management feed are just at 0.2% anyway. Not really much of a loss.

It's quite surprising actually that SHLPH managed to stay afloat despite the 1.5% drop today on top of the 2.5% drop yesterday.

OB, what's your hypothesis for our economy with a Trump presidency?

Ang hirap mag pigil ng impulse ngayon bumili haha. I bought a few shares ng fmetf, barya lang. Sana mas marami tayong options sa ETF, para pag tinatamad ka pag aralan lahat ng tipo na company, yung fund nalang ang i research.

Index UITFs are the best for the casual investor with no time to read about individual companies. [emoji5]

I understand.. altho not quite as flexible as ETFs and, higher fees. You have to open accounts kada bank to buy shares.

Maiba ako. I am curious for the single men late 20s/early 30s tulad ko or even those with young families/young married: anong % ng assets nyo ang nasa stocks? Bonds?

whatever age, that depends on the individuals'risk appetite, pero ito madalas mabasa ko..

The old rule of thumb used to be that you should subtract your age from 100 - and that's the percentage of your portfolio that you should keep in stocks. For example, if you're 30, you should keep 70% of your portfolio in stocks. If you're 70, you should keep 30% of your portfolio in stocks.
However, with Americans living longer and longer, many financial planners are now recommending that the rule should be closer to 110 or 120 minus your age. That's because if you need to make your money last longer, you'll need the extra growth that stocks can provide.
