The process takes some time - but at least once it is filed you will be on the way to being reimbursed.

Wow. Did I just stir a hornet’s nest?

Sorry I did not intend to humor you nor challenge your intelligent reasoning which apparently is floating on cloud nine. And excuse the hideous inglis Ma’am, I must have been dozing off most of the time during my afternoon inglis classes. Oh did I spell that right, Ma’am?

I reckon you wouldn’t be raising hell and brimstone and so psyched up defending CAP if you would have been in our shoes. And of course, you are presumably daw the CAP PR champion so why spank the cow’s ass that gives you the milk.

And for the record, CAP has not yet fully paid us the pledged amount to be reimbursed, which I think is just around 30% of the subscribed face value. Let them have it.

What did you say? LOL. I'm not sure that made any sense LOL.

Anyway - I have explained in previous posts that I am not paid to do CAP's PR. I am however a CAP employee that has taken it upon myself, for NO EXTRA COMPENSATION, to reach those who want to be reimbursed. In other words, I do not represent the opinions of CAP at all - just my own willingness and goodness to HELP those who need it.

CAP has no idea I'm doing this.

You see, you can make all the clever little analogies you like. What I say doesn't matter to you. It doesn't matter to me either. I wouldn't be around working in CAP until now if I didn't see how much effort this management is putting into giving back to its planholders what it owes to them.

Of course, if you want it in one big lump sum payment - then I'm sorry but CAP has to find ways to get the money first to pay you, so you're just going to have to wait. So we've paid you 30%? Great, good for you. We owe you that.

The point is at least you are getting something back, which is a heck of a lot better than complaining about getting NOTHING back and having nobody to hold responsible.

Look, let me apologize for the way I answered your initial post. But reread your first post as well - it was insulting and uncalled for. However, if we can proceed with this discussion in a more civil and educated manner then maybe there is something I can help you with.

I actually understand why people would be angry.

It's not YOUR fault that the regulation on raising tuition fees was removed in the mid-90's. It's not YOUR fault that OUR investments didn't pan out. It's also not YOUR fault that certain politicians got together to impose a faulty formula in calculating our finances (known as the ARL or Actuarial Reserve Liability) - which was stated and confirmed in the NEW Pre-Need Code.

    (see: www.captruth.webs.com for more info)

But this company is doing its best to come up with money to pay people. You are not the only people we are paying back - CAP is paying people back MILLIONS at a time and the process takes so long because the company also needs some time to source the funds to pay people with.

Would you like me to follow up your claims? You can private message me here on Tsikot with your SFA number and I can do my best to inform you regarding your payments.

There is also a site that you can go to in order to see if you have a check waiting for you.

Go here to see this list: http://cap.com.ph/education/Approved...20Schedule.htm

Lets try to be a little more patient in these times of difficulty. We are doing our best to give back what we owe to you - please also extend your patience with us to give us the time to give back what we owe.

Thank you and I apologize again for the fiery first response.

Well well, civility back in action eh. I've been to that site a dozen times before when I was following up on our claims, but thanks anyway.

Just a suggestion though. I think it's better if you could include the cheque amount so that claimants can decide if it's worth it for them to actually spare some valuable time to come over your office. I heard accounts about some who wouldn't even bother because "mas mahal pa daw pamasahe". So they defer claiming their cheques and wait instead until they have some business to do there in Makati (or anywhere within the vicinity of the disbursing CAP branch for that matter). I myself had been conned the first time I found out we got some check coming. I was excited and feeling good so I took the morning off work and marched all the way to Makati. And guess what, for a 1k worth of cheque. You could imagine my disappointment then.

Anyway I hope your efforts to resucitate CAP's tainted image will not go in vain. You can dabble endlessly on all the good CAP has done- how many it had help to graduate and how religiously it upheld the principles of corporate social responsibility and all- however that single misstep had certainly changed the course of history for CAP. People never forget. I don't mean to be so pessimistic and cynical but reality bites.

BTW, my apologies too for the earlier post. I accept going over the edge with innunedos that are very prejudicial. I invoke the clause on literary liberties.

    Good luck anyhow.

I guess if you're able to get at least your money back through the help of Sis maria_ann,- you have something to be thankful for....

Although, it is just damage control.....

I have to agree.... I believe CAP doesnt have the capacity to pay its obligations. Even if they have good intentions, their capability is not enough. Lets get real here... If CAP could pay its obligations, then we would not be having this debate here.

So how much are we getting if we plan to reimburse? is it worth the trouble?

that CAP employee says she is performing beyond her job description

she doesnt get extra pay for defending CAP in internet forums

she's defending CAP out of sheer kindness and goodness of heart

coz she sees CAP owners as truly good kind people and it melted her heart

    yeah right

baka gf or kabit siya ng isang CAP stakeholder kaya ganyan ang malasakit sa CAP

lols! well... lets just give her some slack bro! malay mo hottie yan!

I'll give her that for trying to help policy holders for pointing them in the right direction.

I just think that it's too little, too late.....

I just dont think that the asian financial crisis is to blame... Hindi lang naman CAP ang naapektuhan pero parang karamihan ng bumagsak na kumpanya eh kagaya ng CAP... para silang domino na isa-isang bumagsak....

Which goes back to my old saying and I am sure many already know. When it comes to your money, ikaw lang ang may MALASAKIT. The others are here to make money only, you have the intention to make money and at the same time protect it! So when investing, do it yourself don't give it to someone else...
