The past year and a half bill namin between 60-100 lang max. Last month 64.13 lang.

You could try writing a formal letter of complaint sa Manila Water, forward it to their customer service division.
We're having a similar experience with PLDT. Our latest billing statement showed that there were more than ten calls made from our landline to Smart cellphone numbers, kaya yung usual namin na 7++.00 per month, naging 1,200! Eh lahat kami sa bahay, pati katulong, naka-cellphone, so bakit pa kami gagamit ng landline kung mobile number yung tatawagan? Then we were also previously erroneously billed for calls made to Saudi Arabia, eh ni wala nga kaming kakilala dun! We really suspect na may naka-tap sa phone namin, despite PLDT's claims na imposible daw mangyari 'to. Kasi minsan tatawag kami sa bahay, iba yung nakakasagot, wrong number daw. Pag tinatanong namin kung taga-saan, biglang ibababa yung phone. We're about to write a letter of complaint citing these instances, medyo naghahanap na nga kami ng ibang landline telecom provider eh (Bayantel, Globelines, etc.)
Firstly, have you checked your own water line for any leaks even if your faucet valves are closed? To check, close all faucet/toilet valves, observe your meter. If it is running, then you got yourself something to rear about. Similar thing happened to my bro-in-law. Their usual monthly bill is just P250. Their next bill was a whopping P1500.
A leak on the concrete shielded pipeline revealed the cause.

leinahtan: walang leaks eh, nagawa na since nagpalit sila ng pipes 3 months ago, pumutok yung main line kaya pinalitan yung main line namin. In addition, mahina lang yung pressure coz partial lang namin binuksan yung valve.
Just checked our past bills, may discrepancy talaga parang di chinecheck yung metro.
Aug bill namin 170.85, eto yung nagpalit sila ng piping sa labas and meter, dito bumigay yung main pipe namin and madaming water nasayan coz naiwan open for 9hrs straight. Even then, 170 lang bill namin.
Meter Reading: 22
In addition, after this event, pinalitan lahat ng piping namin sa house, nakaexpose lahat so kung pumutok kitang kita. Basically ngayon from the meter, derecho sa bathroom (shower, toilet, sink), then out to the dirty kitchen area (1 faucet) and sa kitchen sink (1 faucet) yun lang. No leaks
Also, chineck ko kagabi yung meter when we got home, it wasn't moving (walang gumagamit) so it means walang leak din.
September: 63.97, which is quite low, coz we average mga 80 usually.
Meter Reading: 22 din!??? Wala daw kami ginamit water halos for the whole month. In addition, naka lagay sa bill ngayon ang PREVIOUS metering consumption namin is 19! Diba 22 nga sabi dati!??? Labo

same thing happened to our neighbor, biglang naging 3000 bill nila.
last i heard, hindi pa narereverse ang overbilling.
pero parang mura lang ang bill nyo, we're using around 50-60/mo and it costs around 1200.
baka mali ang meter reading kaya ganun.
o kaya baka may nagtatap sa inyo na water refilling business![]()
check mo sa water meter mo ang reading na nasa statement na binigay sa iyo ng nawasa, kung tama naman malamang yung dating nagrereading hindi talaga nagtitingin at naghuhula lang at ngayon tinignan na ng tama kaya na singil na sa iyo lahat
we got crapped by manila water .. our bill last month (parents house) .. -105 pesos (overpayment the month before).. this month .. 8000 !!!! ...... what the f* .. called up manila water .. offline daw sila ... can't verify .. lunes nalang daw ako tumawag ...

sir Bogey ..tutuo iyan nag yayari ..ang pag kaalam ko sa ganyan ay may racket ang nasa 'switching board department' ng PLDT may contact na sa abroad ang taga PLDT at may fixer doon na nagpapatawag para sa mababa na rate .tiempuhan lang kung ang napili ng taga switch board dept. ay number ninyo ..normally nag yayari ito madaling araw sa pinas ..sa pinas ang outgoin calls at incoming sa KSA ..kukunin din pala muna nila landline number ninyo sa pinas ng fixer sa abroad then bigay niya sa accomplice niya sa PLDT..at pag nakuha na both number sa pinas at sa abroad. doon na sila mag hahanap kaninong PLDT subscriber ang magagamit nila ..malas lang natin kung landline number natin na handpick ng taga switchboardOriginally Posted by Bogeyman

Eto mas nakakaloko... Dec bill ng dating nakatira sa unit na inuupahan namin eh 250+ lang with 4 adult occupants. Then nung kami na nakatira biglang naging 3,200+ ng january, eh 2 kids at 2 adults lang kami, once a week pa ko maglaundry at once or twice a day pa ko maghugas ng pinggan. Tapos ngayon february 150+ na lang. Hala, 3,200 vs 150! Ang linaw naman na mali ang reading. Di ko pa din babayaran, kasi chineck na namin ng landlady kung may leak, di naman umaandar yun metro habang nakasarado lahat ng linya. Nireklamo na namin sa manila water pero sabi nila kailangan daw talaga bayaran yun. Tama ba naman yun? Sobrang tipid ko na nga sa tubig eh tapos magbabayad pa ko ng sobra-sobra? Ano ba sa tingin nila sa consumption namin, may carwash service??? Same thing happened sa pinsan ko na average nila eh almost 300 tapos biglang naging 1200. Pero yun sa sister ko sa kabilang unit 10pesos lang naman bill. Ano ba yun? Marami bang manghuhula sa manila water?
ganyan din dito sa amin, 3 adults lang and one kid, inaabot kami ng 500 plus sa monthly water billing namin. minsan naman, same consumption, biglang bababa ng mga 300. halatang nanghuhula lang.
Even with those problems I'd still rather have Manila Water than our crappy supplier Maynilad...
yung mga meter reader kung minsan tamad nang i read yung metro lalo na kung friday tanghali pa lang relaxed na sila .
i used to work with MWSS kaya alam ko , ako yung tagasumbong sa erpats ko who happened to be a manager of the meter reading dept.
hi blueGirl, im stonetiger.... ask ko sana ang number ng kakilala you sa manila water kc yong customer service nbr nila ay di gumagana(1627) my question sana me regarding sa bills na natatanggap ko for 4 consecutive months under negative bill, sabi kc ng bayad center agent na wala me babayaran kc nasa negative ang bill ko(obviously wala dapat bayaran kc nga negative) pero for 4 consecutive months diba parang may mali... but the good thing is wala naman kami natatanggap ng disconnection letter ... favor nalang ha. thnx in advance bluegirl.

Hi. It's the year 2011, and it would seem that we still have the same old complaint about Manila Waters overbilling. Ours amounted to 3,000.00 and yesterday, they cut our service. I mean, I could pay the same but it just feels so wrong and unfair. Why pay for something that you know you didn't really consume? We have already tried asking them to waive the said fee, but they wouldn't agree. It seems that this is a scam or a modus operandi by Manila Waters. I mean, if it only happened to a few then perhaps you could still give them the benefit of the doubt. But I've heard a lot of similar complaints and I think this isn't right anymore. Is there a way to expose this scam? To Tulfo perhaps or any other tv or radio personalities who could do something about it? Anyways, sana may makatulong.
paano yan wala kayong tubig? maybe meron leak ang mga pipes niyo especially kung old house na. nagpa check na ba kayo sa tubero?
sa amin naman different case, nagbayad ako sa BDO then sa ibang company na credit ng BDO so for the past year laging meron disconnection notice, pero hinde naman nila pinuputol. I called them and sabi nila just disregard yun disconnection notice.
so until now meron pa rin disconnection notice stamp sa bill namin.

dati hindi umaandar metro ng tubig namin ka ang ginawa nila inaaverage na lang buwan buwan. nung nagreklamo kami pinalitan ang metro. aba lalong tumaas![]()
