I just want to ask for tips regarding the use of credit cards? I currently have two credit cards now but it's kind of a pain in the ass to pay because It eats up at least 20% of my take home pay per cut-off. Though I only use my credit cards for necessities like gas, phone bill, and groceries. Any helpful tips on budgetting will be appreciated. Thank you very much.
"refrain from using the credit card."
use it only when you have no choice.
pay cash. make it a bit more difficult for you to acquire certain things.
and the age-old adage, "buy what you need, not what you want."
you'll be surprised at what some so-called necessities, you can really go without.

"spending is an addiction. break the habit before it breaks you."

Those things na sinabi mo are necessities as you said siguro you need to lessen lang or make a budget / limit lang talaga for gas, phone bills and groceries.

Well, for one, when I use my card for gas, I always fill up my car full tank. Pero yeah, Like what you said po, given na necessities po ito, Siguro di muna ako magffull tank all the time.... I have this mentality kasi na mas makakamura ako if I buy in full tanks kaysa pa-onti onti....

like sa grocery lagay ka lang nang lagay sa shopping cart kasi di mo iisipin if you brought enough cash

well that's why the credit card was invented

consumers can buy stuff anytime and not worry about not having enough money

I have observed this in most stations lalong lalo na big 3

Sa groceries, I buy items in bigger quantity/size. Also, if available, buy the refills.

It takes a lot of discipline but when used correctly CC can save you a lot din.

In HK I vaguely remember some stores even had a lower price if you used HSBC cards vs cash.

Mahirap lang mamaintain yung discipline for some people. But I think we have them to thank for helping the economy. If everyone was a tightwad we'll probably have little to no growth.

Feels good to be one though doc. When shopping nothing gives me more pleasure than walking out of a store with nothing else but loss leader items.
