The latest update of BPI now allows credit card to be temporarily locked.

This is a good feature, lock your card and only unlock it when you are about to use it, then lock it again. Kontra fraudulent transactions.

Debit card lang pwede block/unblock sa aken.

Pag-click ko ng card control sa CC section yung debit card lang lumilitaw.

I see 2 options - 1 to temporarily block the card, the other one for permanent blocking.screenshot_20231224_091617_gallery.jpg

I didn't realize blocking my CC would also block my auto renewal of subscriptions. Ayaw ko naman mag monitor monthly kung kelan mag renew ng mga subscription ko to lock and unlock the card.

Earlier, I tried to transfer from BPI to other bank using PesoNet. May P50.0 service charge. How much more pa kaya kung InstaPay. Hehe Babye Preferred Client status muna..buti may other banks (digital and digi-centric banks) that offer free transfer of funds to other banks.

I was removed from preferred when my balance is above the minimum requirement! I called the branch and they said to contact my RM, but my RM is not replying. Sa Preferred line naman they can't access my account anymore kasi nga tanggal na ko!!!

It's average of balance ... bank should chase you and not the other way around ... if it's you doing the chasing then you're not important enough for the bank ... when bank does not regard you as an important client take you're business elsewhere ...

I'm definitely above the average balance. The branch called me and my account was flagged as dormant pala since no movement for 2 yrs so the system automatically removed my tag as preferred. But I will definitely request for a new RM.

Also, I'm not an important client naman talaga and don't expect the bank to chase me or treat me special. I just want my preferred status retained for its benefits/perks

Yup total relationship balance. Okay na sa BPI, sa HSBC mas mataas pa requirement, dati nung may Citibank pa, mas lalong mataas. Kaya pag may account sa Citibank, mayaman lol.

Can you be more specific? Kasi my SA balance is very low since the advent of Digi banks, I don't have any form of deposit with the bank to put me at 1M ADB, yet I retain preferred status?

Baka may investments ka? Kasi it includes all products. Has it been over a year na below P1M? Not sure pero feeling ko annual sila mag refresh.

perhaps your CC bill / usage is considerable, and your payments are reliable...
it is in the bank's interest to enhance your spending habits.

Something weird happening to BPI. Some people can't login to the app. Some can't transfer, I can't see my CC transactions. Last night I paid a bill and it seems the money is back to my account and no transaction history. Yung iba nag negative balance daw.

If I remember correctly this happened a few years back.

A lot of failed instapay transfers with various banks were also reported in the Digibanks group in FB. Napa praning ako so I decided to pay my CC bill early na lang, as the funds will come from separate Digibanks taking advantage pa sana of their higher interest rates. Baka abutan pa ako malas at magkanda offline ang mga systems at ma late payment penalty pa ako.
