    Domestic Systemically Important Bank (DSIBs)

    "too big to fail"

Alam nilang DSIB sila kaya hindi yan basta basta magsasara..may makukuha yang tulong from the government.

By the way, saan galing ung info mo?

Dapat dyan gawin tulad ng Evergrande, the owner is being forced to use his personal money to pay creditors.

Anyway, this is just good as entertainment without any credible source of info.

I wonder what the report will contain. BSP will try to protect BDO, as they haven't really asked the tough questions...

    pananaw ko diyan...

    don't f#ck with rich people

this incident caused BDO to lose money (BDO had to make victims whole even when BDO is unsure if they can get the stolen money back)

    rich people hate losing money

galit sila -- they used their influence (and money of course) to make sure those people are caught

government doesn't work this thoroughly if the client isn't important

the client is the richest family in the country

syempre the gov't will produce results

    generation gap

ung pagiging tech savvy ngayon wala na sa social class

unlike during the 90s mga may kaya lang kaya bumili ng computer at may internet sa bahay

now you can find tech savvy kids in poor neighborhoods anywhere in the country

come to think about it wala ka namang choice but to sign that waiver. kun lilipat ka naman ng ibang bangko baka same set of rules apply.

kapag nagka aberya nagtatago ang bangko sa legalidad ng waiver na pinirmahan. pero morally mali. biruin mo in-entrust mo pera mo sa kanila for safekeeping tapos pagkakakitaan naman nila yun. ang balik lang naman sa iyo halos negligible (speaking for at least regular savings) interest. pero kapag nawala nila without participation from you hugas kamay sila.
