Problema natin ngayon eh how to secure our vehicles against carjacking right? Well I have some ideas which might help some of our tsikoteers who do not have enough budget to puchase those expensive alarm systems. Please take note na I will merely present the concept as it will be dangerous to show in this forum on how to do it step by step. On how you will do it? Use your imagination!!!!

    DIY Project No. 1:

You can take advantage of that by putting a relay with a resistor sa fuel pump at yung automatic lock naman ang magiging trigger para sa armature ng relay. That will give you approximately 50 meters of distance from the carjacker. Teka bakit may resistor? Hehehe! Cost of project: Php 300.00

    DIY Project No. 2

Ano pa eh di yung reverse light switch! Same din ang concept gaya ng DIY Project No. 1, ang reverse light switch lang ang papalit as trigger dun sa armature ng relay . How to use? Simple, pag na flag down ka make sure to park in such a way na kailangan pa nilang i reverse ang sasakyan. Bakit kailangan uli ng resistor dito? Hehehe! Cost of project Php 300.00

    DIY Project No. 3

Ano pa eh di yung mga driver/passenger lights as well as yung interior light switch! Same concept din. The relay resistor (can be dispensed with). Pag dumating ang carjacker magbigay galang ka. Turn on the interior lights! Will it work kung nakadefault sa gitna yung interior light switch? Php 300.00

    DIY Project No. 4

Saan pa ba pwedeng i-tap? Hand break? Syempre coz meron siyang park light! Items relay and resistor. Php 300.00

    DIY Project No. 5

How about power windows? Opo pwede dahil may power window lock siya. Php 300.00

    DIY Project No. 6

Php 300.00

    DIY Project No. 7

So pag preno niya magsisimula nang magcountdown yun. Items: relay, resistor, separate switch. Bakit may separate switch? By-pass po yun. Php 350.00

    DIY Project No. 8

Round 1 - How about a stun gun system wired to a couple of metal plates under the door handles... 100,000 volts powered from the car battery. That should be enough to shock the bejesus out of them.

Round 2 - So the carjackers don't want to open the door? Install a propane/LPG fueled flame thrower under the chassis below the door frames. Trigger using a foot switch and watch ten to fifteen foot flames shoot sideways from the car and fry the suckers.

I'm pretty sure the carjackers know about these immobilizer techniques. That's the reason why most carjacks involve bringing along the owner for a ride and emptying their ATMs. At the end of the day, they'll drop the owner off, dead or alive, in some far flung area. By the time you can reach for a cellphone to immobilize the car remotely, they have, either already found and detached your immobilizer system, or have already begun chopping up your ride.

The best thing to do is just hunt down the carjackers! :fire:

Uy may bago na akong racket! Ehehe! It would be better siguro kung we will ask our electronics experts here in tsikot to make prototypes of my DIY Projects. I don't want to mess around other people's car kasi.

By the way, I am actually doing a DIY project myself pero combination ng mga nabanggit at may naka attach na cellphone din. Don't be afraid to try pare. You can actually test and retest your prototype without attaching it first sa iyong ride. I am not an expert sa electronics, puro common sense lang ang gamit ko. Technique? When you are going to buy a relay sa auto shop ask the seller kung saan pwede gamitin ito. Go to an electronics shop and buy a resistor. Ask again kung papaano mo linyahin iyon to get the desired results. Ask mo na rin if you are buying the right resistor. In the end, you are getting free consultations.

By the way, I don't drink na pare. Nag quit na ako years ago.

Sa Round 1. That is possible pero it will definitely drain your battery unless you put a separate battery.

Round 2.

Pwede, but that will defeat the purpose of this thread because the scanner itself will cost you about Php 35,000, more or less.

No, it won't drain the battery because such circuit will not require that much power, it has high-voltage but low current. The real obstacle is how to insulate the 100kV from the chassis ground. A 100kV can jump 3 inches of air.

However, the idea is cool. Using 1kV might be enough to give a painful shock and insulation would be manageable.

maganda ang most ng concept assuming pababain ka kaagad sa oto mo na kinarjack. as mentioned papaano kung isinama ka muna?!?

I am thinking na what if you control these fuel shut-off valves with a remote switch (just like the keyless entry remote) na hidden sa belt or pants mo (remember the old style pants na merun secret pocket?).

So you would "arm" your delay switch sa fuel shut off valve when you get off the vechicle...sisimple ka lang sa bulsa or sa belt mo when they left you off na.

    OR

A remote switch na meron proximity sensor...so as long as the nearby ka the shut-off valve will be on.

Actually meron na nito and nasa divisoria ako last weekend to look for one. It is a keychain with a tweeter. yung 1st part is nakaattach sa key chain while the 2nd part may be kept inside your pocket. kapag napalayo sa iyo ang mga keys mo eh tutunog siya.

ano ang idea dito? pagbaligtarin ang use nila. Use the 2nd part sa armature ng relay. Tanggalin yung tweeter at connect it to the armature ng relay. but you have to look for a low voltage armature which can react to at least 1.2v of power. yung 1st part naman ang ilagay mo sa secret pocket mo.

    Voiding warranty:

Relays are not that destructive. Kung nagkamali ka, you will only fry P10 pesos worth of fuse which you could easily replace. Just dont work your way towards the ecu.

    In case na isama ka:

Well, you could consider putting a second switch sa gitna ng second row seats where you could have access.

    50 meters is not enough:

Gayahin ninyo ako, I always drive with my rubber shoes on.
