I ran variable voltages into them so that I have an idea on the range of voltage measurements for a set of LED lights.

I have long switched to digital displays with two USB chargers for our rides' voltmeters.

12.7v means your battery is healthy.

14.5v is good charging. Are all your accessories on? Headlights, air-conditioning Et Al.?

If you turn off the ignition and pull the key out, the display is off, right?

Then, no drain on the battery.

I have that voltmeter, accurate naman. Dun sa local seller recommended by red_one. Checked it against the device they use in casa to measure battery health (dunno what it's called), same naman ng reading. I bought three, gave the two as gifts, and after 1.5 years okay pa naman lahat (except yung napunta sakin na may ibang lines sa dispay na napundi na--di na nababasa yung last digit after the decimal point).

Pag mga 1 day ko di ginagamit oto and unang pihit ng susi to turn on the engine ayaw, laging sa second try pumapasok. Akala ko tuloy lagi ubos na battery.

Sounds to me like a starter problem.

to add,
i had starter intermittent issue before.
it was traced to the starter solenoid.
ask ng mechanic, "puede hong linisin lang."
sabi ko, "palitan nyo na. baka pa bumalik , isang hantinggabi, sa gitna ng wala. hindi naman gaano ka-mahal."

Ilang years pinapalitan ang starter kung casa PMS susundin?

Mine is a 3 years Honda car. 15k pa lang odo.

Starters lasts a really long time ... 10-15 years or more than 100T kms ... depending on use ...

yung starter solenoid ang pinapalitan.
at yung bushing.

Same here from Lazada. Compared to our multimeter directly measured from battery & alternator, may kaunting difference lang around 0.2 V if I am not mistaken.
