mahal nga yang mannix! pero fully featured alarm na. I think it's manufactured locally. namention yan somewhere in this thread.

ayaw ko lang dun yung mala-pager na remote BMW Z3 nakalagay na pic hehe.

Kung meron sana Clifford Matrix RS2 yun yung equivalent ng Clifforrd katulad nung sa Mannix. Yun nga lang di sya available locally.

May sariling module ang remote start. Ganun ang gamit namin sa Montero. But I keep forgetting which keys to push to start the damn thing! :D

9th pwede na for mannix, mas mahal ko nabili ng 500 dati. kung bibili ka make sure you get the ccasing for the transmitter para di agad magasagas. meron naring option kung silver or black transmitteer. si johnstone contact mo dealer siya ng mannix. 9175379172

magkano kaya kung alarm lang na mannix walang install? dadalhin ko sana sa abroad. Kung mura baka bili ako ng 2pcs i benta ko dun yung isa. =)

OK naman ang Mannix. in terms of features wala talaga akong masabi, as in lahat ng nakasulat sa specs gumagana talaga. I really appreciate yung anti carnap feature nya specially nowadays na talagang delikado na ang mga kalsada natin. OKs din yung remote start, which I use from time to time pampa-pogi. hehehe. medyo bitin nga lang yung tunog ng remote as in hindi ganun ka-astig like the clifford alarms.

The 9T model is called "millenium" w/c is the newer model. meron din atang nagbebenta pa nung 1st gen at 6T.

I have remote engine start and remote "busina" to keep those pesky people from leaning on my car. auto start is done by adding relay to one of the channel(viper 900 has 16 channels) One channel to turn on the ignition and one channel to crank the engine. I paid P500 10 years ago labor and materials.. You can add trunk opener, power windows roll up or roll down. or anything you might want to control as long as it is motorized. The power windows roll up functions everytime you arm the system. That means you are always sure that youre windows are rolled up when you arm. My problem now is the remote. Basag na casing. Sulit talaga. Tipid pa sa batt. san kaya makakabili ito?

whoa! hanep pala yang VIper 900 16 channels!

mukhang mahirap nga bumili dito nyan locally. your best bet is to order a remote sa US. meron ako nakita website noon selling those remotes. If you have a relative in the US paorder ka sa kanila para mas mabilis.

For a temporary fix ...para magamit mo pa rin you can buy the 2 button 3 channel remote ng Viper. sayang nga lang di magamit yung ibang features.

TFR, relay lang pala 'yon. Based kasi sa Viper 900 manual, kailangan pa ng module specific to that Viper 900.
Ganun din ba sa busina? Relay lang gusto ko rin 'yon.
Any suggested shop for this job?

Sa Banawe. Ohlsen is the name of the guy who installed the relays. I dont know where in banawe he works now but from time to time I still see him. And yup, relays lang kailangan mo, Ang laman ng modules eh basically relays din lang. The relays recieve the signals from the alarm modules electrical impulses and acts as a switch to other system. I dont know kung may viper 900 pa na available. Alam ko wala na. Viper 800ultra is almost the same except separate ang voice module, so walang silent mode lagisyang nagsasalita, maingay.

TFR, thanks for the input. I'll probably have it installed by my suki car shop sa Banawe, hopefully alam nila ang gagawin nila.

Shadow, ala na nga yatang Viper 900 these days. 9 years ago I got it for 12,000, sa toyota pa mismo and sila na ang nagkabit. I think newer models of Viper are Viper 791XV, 560XV, etc. The problem is if there are local distributors here in Phil. If you have a friend in US coming home this year, pabili ka na lang.

nakasabay ko yun neighbor ko kanina sa carpark ng bldg namin and pinakita niya sa kin yun bago nyan alarm, meron lahat ng features ng sinabi ni TFR, pero hinde niya alam kung anong brand dahil daw parating lang ng cousin niya, ang color ng remote niya is white tapos meron screen na may drawing na car, parang "TAMAGOCHI" ANG TIGNIN KO SA REMOTE NIYA EH, tapos pag arm/disarm mo meron mga icon na lumalabas doon sa screen ng remote... hinde rin niya alam yun price..pero update ko kayo ulit kung anong brand yun..pag nakasabay ko ulit siya...

ano nga palang counterpart ng viper900 sa ibang brand ng alarms? or anong updated na viper 900? thanks

another question, pag ginamit mo nga pala ang automatic engine start, so hind emo na kailngan ng key diba? paano pala pag pasok mo sa car ilalagay mo pa rin ba yun key sa "on"? paano mo i-off ang engine? thru the remote rin ba?

If you have activated the auto start feature, unlock the doors and insert car keys to switch on. No need to crank it up to start position. If you want it turn off your engine, just switch the ignition key to off as you would normally do. Under some cirsumstances that you would just want to cool off your cabin and not drive off, some alarms have the option to automatically shut off everything after running the A/C for 15 minutes. Other alarms will have to be shut off manually thru the ignition (on/off method).
