    I just checked out the CD-R King version of the SJ4000:

    It runs on Sports Cam8 firmware, and has a Sunplus chipset instead of the superior Novatek chipset. Sharpness and clarity are a tad lower than the SJCAM SJ4000.

    It only has 2 video modes, 1920x1080 60p and 1280x720 60p. Both modes are fake 60 fps modes, as they are just 30 fps repeated twice per second. They take up unnecessary space on your SD card.

    Also surprisingly absent is white balance correction - I think this is important since the SJ4000 has a naturally blue hue.

    In OLX, this would cost about 3.8k, but CD-R King hasn't released pricing yet. According to the sales lady, it'll have a price by the 2nd week of January. I doubt though if it'll be lower than the current market price.

    Funny thing to note in the article though, the first paragraph seems to imply that just because it's Qube-branded instead of CD-R King, it's of higher quality. Both models most likely come from the same factory, so quality is identical.

    eto naman pala dilemma dito, novatek vs sunplus.. may nakita pako icatch yata na chipset tapos meron atang SJCAM na newer version, hindi kamukha ng gopro itsura nya.. thinking of getting a 2nd cam.. lipat ko ung drivepro 200 sa likod at saksak ung tv out nya sa aux ng HU ng sasakyan para may live view sa likod. tapos front duty tong sjcam... hmmmmm...

    edit: the car charger is approx 6ft. Mukhang mahirap ipagapang from ceiling-a pillar-under the dash to center console (handbrake area).

    Bro pacheck naman kung kasya right behind the rear view mirror yung mount and camera.

    Meron na kasi akong cellphone holder sa may bottom-middle part ng windshield so the dashcam has to be mounted inconspicuously.

    May price na yung sa CD-R King - P3,380 for the Sunplus SJ4000.

    Cheaper alternative than the Novatek version with slightly worse quality - ok na rin 'to if you're not that picky.

    charger plug is using micro-usb na, while it is rated 1000mAh. Naghahanap din ako ng ibang options. Yun isa ko pinutol ko at dinugtungan haha
