SJ4000 and Xiao mi - designed talaga sya as sports camera, di ko alam night performance, pero sa tingin ko maganda kasi malaki ang sensor nyan sigurado kumpara sa G1W-C.

Pero kung ako tatanungin, I will get the G1WC, capacitor based ang selling point nyan, just like the A118C, parehas ako meron, mas low profile yung A118C, sa dashcamtalk.com, andun gma review at comparison ng mga dashcams.

For those capacitor-based (no battery), how long tinatagal na naka-charge (so as not to erase your customed settings)? Tsaka pag capacitor-based, pang dash cam lang talaga gamit.

For others, they are not capacitor-based dahil di naman purely dashcam lang yung purpose nila.

I will use powerbank na lang...

After 1 hour; ok naman recording but parang hindi nag time off yun screen at feels warmer kahit nasa loob ng bahay testing.

Thinking of getting one by the end of the month or next month. The thing is I could only get one if I could convince my dad to buy one. Thinking of getting one kasi baka lang mainvolve sa accident at least may video proof. Recently kasi, may nagovertake sa akin sa isang 2 lane, 2 way road. I saw him counterflow sa ibang lane so I realized he wants to overtake me kaya I let go of the accelerator pedal to slow down and give way. Now the problem is noong pumasok ulit siya sa lane ko, sobrang lapit niya as in konti na lang tatama (I slowed down na ha and gave some space pero parang ginitgit ako as in biglaan yung pasok niya something like that) eh what if kung bumangga siya sa akin (like bigla siya pumasok sa lane ko then bumangga siya kasi he took too much space). So since ako yung nasa likod, ako most likely yung at fault. Let's just say things like that happen so yeah thinking of getting a dashcam. Now, meron ba mga so-so or okay lang na dashcam na medyo mura. Let's say around 2k??

My sj4000 works as my dashcam while driving. I'd say sulit na man.

All default in terms of white balance and exposure.

I use 1280x720 30fps resolution. 1080p is too large for my needs, but the SJ4000 can shoot at 1920x1080 30 fps.

1280x720 * 30fps din gamit ko, pero pag piniplay sa PC un MOV file, using Win Media Player or VLC, natalon at parang may noise.

Might be a problem of your codec than the SJ4000 itself. Try upgrading to the latest VLC.

Turns out there's a new SJCAM that's truly an upgrade to the famous SJ4000 - the SJ5000+.

It has a new chipset (Ambarella vs the old Novatek) and a much better 16MP CMOS from Panasonic. This is much better than the 2MP of the SJ4000. I highly value the still image quality since I also use it as an action cam for my out of town trips.

It's still quite pricey though at 7k each...will probably wait until prices go down before I sell my SJ4000 for this.
