It'll be connected to ACC power so it won't be draining the main battery when the car is fully off.
The idea is just to have power to dashcams for extended recording when parked.
You can buy a sealed lead acid battery, I think it's about the one used for UPS. It's the size of a motorcycle battery.

If you checked the link I posted, that isolator will do the trick.

Yung mga Remax CX01 ko, still running good at 3 & 4 yrs old na din. Powered by a 10000mah or 5000mah p.bank (whatever I'm carrying at the time).
Resoln.'s not too good at night through 20 tint, but acceptable pa rin.

Just make sure you don't forget the power banks in a vehicle parked outdoors on a hot day. Shortening their service life's the least concern in the heat, theoretically, they can start a fire.

What I posted above is for Marine application. This one from Shopee should be sufficient.

Isolators are very useful for overlanding.[emoji106] Here's another system w/ solar charging option...

I considered DDPai and 70mai when I was buying a dashcam for my car, but they’re all battery based. Viofo is capacitor based that has video quality than can rival Blackvue but at a fraction of the price.

I have DDPai mini2P in front and mini1 at the back. Both are capacitor-based. Been using them since 2018 and wala pa kong na-encounter na any issues. When the time comes and I need to replace, I might go with Viofo na 2-channels na.

What dissuaded me from DDpai is that sikat lang siya sa Pinas, other markets it isn’t as prominent. In this best dashcam list, you’ll see 70mai, Viofo, and Thinkware:

As jut mentioned battery powered pa rin kasi DDpai bro. Usually not much of a concern for me but the unit it's gonna go on is gonna see a lot of sun in the field.

Looking at video samples from the cams mentioned above, ang layo ng quality ng Viofo talaga. Specially when things are moving fast. Yung price lang talaga ang taas. Maybe I'll just remove my old dash cam and put that in the truck so I can have the nicer Viofo.

Pero so far, para sa akin, these DDPai cams serve their purpose very well. Have used the footage of the rear cam na once as evidence when I was rear-ended by a government vehicle. Linaw!

We already have a front dash. Thinking of buying a separate for the back. I don't have electrical skills to install them.
