Yo! Patulong naman bumili ako ng transcend hardwire kit, will pair it with Yi dash cam.

Where/how do I connect the ACC red wire? Do I need to strip and splice it?

By color coding standards black is negative or body ground while the red one is positive.

Easiest na pagkakabitan mo nyan is wiring din ng lighter plug.

Bought this one sa Lazada, nakakabit siya sa DP200 na nasa likuran, yes, may loss siya kasi may mga oras na nagr-restart yun DP200 although bihira lang naman in my experience.

Gano kahaba? Kasi nung maikling usb to mini ang gamit hindi naman nagrereset yun dp200. Nung gumamit lang ng 5m saka nagkakaganun pero shorter wires hindi naman nagre-reset.

Video quality lalo na night time, Transcend is very good. I use the DP520 and bought the generic DVR/Blackbox brand. Ibang-iba ang contrast and clarity ng transcend. Yung DVR/Blackbox halos wala ka na makita sa gabi plus it's too grainy even on the Full HD setting.

My problem now is the mount. Using suction cups, it looks like it is pulling off my tint. Any suggested solutions?

You can backread and buy some of the suggestions we posted there. I also have the DP520 and I just remove the suction cup when not in use. Whenever I stick it back, I slightly change the position so that no single part of my tint is unduly stressed.

Need mo nito sir =) para may fuse din ung dashcam mo, pero may built in fuse na ata yan hardwire kit mo ung parang tube. no need for splicing wires.

Ah oo hassle yan. May car charger kayo? Subukan niyo roon kasi nakasaksak sa car charger yun sa amin. Pag sa usb port ng HU ko sinaksak laging reset eh kapag yung 5m na.

May short comparison ako nung dashcams namin sa p.228. palagay ko safe choice ang Transcend pero sa mga nababasa ko ok din daw ang Yi. Meron ding iba na gamit ay sjcam.

Batteries in general are not recommended. Our dashcams ought to have capacitors by default. But alas we don't always get what we want. My dashcam has a battery too. What I do to help it a bit is to open the aircon in front of the windshield and hope it flows to my dashcam and cool it down a bit. Unlike my dashcam, the Yi has vents on top and bottom of the unit to help it cool down better.

My advise is to never leave it inside the car when parking outside. Since I have indoor parking both at home and the office, this is not a problem unless I need to go meet someone in the field. My main concern is the one hour drive in the mid-morning when it can get hot. My drive home in the late afternoon is not as hot and so my dashcam won't be too stressed by the heat.

Don't worry to much about it. They're designed for some sun exposure, and if it's a quality brand, it can last quite a bit. It's usually the off-brand products that fail prematurely from sun and heat exposure.
