My SJ4000 is 1.5 years old and I leave it in the car, plugged in 100% of the time.

Be sure to use a low-amp charger to avoid overheating. Most car chargers have 2A ratings, some even have 3A. My SJ4000 is routed directly to my ignition (not cigarette lighter port), using a 1A charger.

Red light lit up but still won't power on.

Mag 1 year old palang yung akin.

Kung yung sayo sir nakasaksak all the time at ok parin.
Same behavior with my Qube A7. At first I thought I messed it but somehow it worked again after resetting the unit. I found out the culprit was dueibg cold starting with the cam directly plugged in to the lighter port. Kill switch lang ang kinabit ko. Problem solved. So whenever i re start engine, I switch off the modified switch first. After the engine settled from a cold start, switch the cam on with the modified switch.

AFAIK, a high amp charger should not be a problem. The amp rating is the max it can provide. The actual current (amp) that will drawn from the charger depends on your device.

If you have a 1A device plugged in a 3A charger, that charger will supply only the required current (amp).

    Am I right?

Should be, if the device pulls just the right voltage. It's just that I don't trust the china-made SJCAM's circuitry, nor do I trust most car chargers.

Anytek T1 ang gamit ko. Bought this last May. I'll post pictures later this afternoon.

Pros: 1080p; wide angle; has park mode; front and back cam
Cons: Turns on when you start engine but does not record automatically; low-res rear camera.

Verdict: good enough for my need.

    Hello mga sirs!

Need some help lang. Finally decided to get a dashcam. I'm torn between transcend dp220 and the numerous anytek models nalilito na nga ako.

Okna sana yun dp220 kaso price is around 5-6k na. Are there anytek or comparable cheaper models?

    Thanks in advance.

    Wala.

Just buy transcend. There is a reason why it is expensive.

I have some sample daytime and night time videos sa Youtube channel ko. Though limited ang night videos, what I observed is that hindi ko na readable ang plates kapag malayo and kapag natapatan ng ilaw. Also, with 24 fps, unless na mabagal ang takbo ng sasakyan, blurred ang mga letters. Furthermore, it does not help that my car has dark 3M tint.

But with just 2,500 I get decent front camera for daytime driving and a synced rear camera to cover my back and to also help in backing-up. It has usable parking mode and since it clips to my rearview mirror, less clutter on my windshield.

If you have the money, check out the other recommendations and hopefully it will satisfy your needs.

    Good luck.
