July 14th, 2015 07:49 PM #791Hi, would like to ask for opinion on which is a better buy, SJ4000 or G1W-C? This will be mainly use for dash-cam. Would prefer a G1W-CB but can't seem to find it locally.

July 15th, 2015 11:17 PM #793Hi guys,
For those looking for the G1X dashcam series, we are selling the G1W-C from Blueskysea and it already includes the rear view mirror mount for 3495 only. Capacitor series tend to last longer due to higher heat resistance. Our facebook page is ND AutoMart - Car Parts & Accessories, Wholesale & Supply Store | Facebook for those who might be interested. Also includes free shipping =)
Thanks!

Heat doesn't really penetrate the car's headliner (otherwise, it'd be very hot inside your car the moment you expose it to the sun). Hindi siya parang yero na sobrang init.
Also, the cable still has its housing, it's not exposed. The housing won't melt unless you subject it to really really hot temps like a soldering gun. From the inside out, it also won't heat up unless the + and - wires are grounded, but since I didn't touch any of that, it's safe.
Worst case scenario is an oversupply of voltage from the AC power, but that's why I had a fuse installed for additional safety.

Anyone here using Trancend DrivePro 220.
I ended up getting DP220 for Wifey's Monty.
But for now, I'm doing "BETA Test" on my car habang nasa casa pa ang oto nya for PMS.
Ok naman ang dp220 when using the packaged car charger.
Ang laki nga lang ng plug nya kaya hassle.
However, may nakaayos nang USB extension cable sa oto ko since I'm currently using Note3 with DailyRoads Voyager as dashboard cam for my car (tangal kabit nga lang). The usb cable is plugged to my gopro car charger with 1ampere and 2ampere output.
Problem is, when I try plugging the dp220, unstable si dp220 at panay ang reboot, regardless if I use 1ampere or 2ampere socket. Kahit yung ibang usb car charger ko e palpak pa rin.
May nakaranas na ba ng ganitong issue sa dashcam nyo?
A friend mentioned I may have to use a simple charging cable rather than a data cable, problem is... Its not that easy to find a charging cable from pc shops.

Drivepro 200 user here
so far di naman naeexperience yung sinabi mong issue whether i use the 1amp or 2 amp slot. data cable rin lang gamit ko since i'm using capdase car voltage monitor as the power supply.
try mo kaya gumamit ng ibagn USB cable or upgrade mo yung fw ng drivepro.

Hi Kimot,
1.07 na yung FW w/c is the latest in their support site
You have a wicked car charger though
Hence, Im guessing it could be the charger, or the USB cable, or both.
So for my Science experiment case 1, i tried using a powerbank and the same USB cable MINUS the extension - EPIC FAIL - problem persist
For case 2, I replaced the USB cable with my 10year old motorola Dual-fuse USB cable that goes with my ht820 headset (which still works brw, despite the pads and paint job issue)
This time, DP220 did worked properly ... So looks like some USB cable really are better than others.
Im still saving up for my own car's "vkool windshield tint + osram NB + dashcam" project though ... So I can't afford a cool but expensive charger like yours ... So for case #3, I'll try the USB cable with my current charger tomorrow
Thanks!Last edited by macstar1; July 16th, 2015 at 10:25 PM.
