To the SJ4000 owners - has it happened that even after you turn off your car, and hence your 12V power, the unit still registers as charging?

In fact, I was shocked to see that even after I turned my engine off, my 12V charger's light was still on, and it was because the SJ4000 was plugged into it.

Right now I just took out the battery so the camera just dies automatically after I turn the engine off but I don't know if that's okay since it's like turning off the power as opposed to shutting down the device properly.

I don't know if it's normal or if I should have the unit replaced. It doesn't happen all the time, but I noticed it just happens when the battery's full already.

Naka car mode ka ba? Sa akin naman sumusunod sa ignition. At 1st kala ko me topak. Around 8+ secs lan recording tapos tumatalon(hindi straight, next recording minsan after a min pa). Ang daming settings ng actioncam vs dashcam kasi. What i did was reset the settings.
- car mode: on
- cyclic record: 3min
- HDR: off
- motion detect: off (how does this works?)
- video lapse: off

not recommended to turn ON the motion detect. Malubak ka or madaan ka sa humps, or napalakas ang preno, On & Off yan pag ganyan. Kahit yung loop, i dont choose that. Paano kung may importanteng nakuhanan at malapit na maubos space? Di burado na.

Pag nasa standby mode sya, nakalagay sa screen kung ilang oras pa ang kasya na video. That's why i only set it to 720p para tipid sa memory space. Malinaw naman ang kuha. Or pwede rin 720p pag umaga, 1080p pag gabi. Depende sa preference ng user.

I bought a 12V splitter so I can use both the SJ4000 car charger that I bought and my USB car charger for my phones. 1A lang kasi yung SJ400p charger vs 2.1A for my Capdase USB charger so I thought I was giving it too much current. However, until now nag-chacharge pa rin siya kahit wala nang power, so even after I turn my engine off, the unit still records.

Hindi nagchacharge bro. Just the SJ4000. Will monitor until Jan 2, then papapalitan ko pag kailangan.

*32gb microsd around 4hrs ang highest res/1080p60fps. My day trip on/off goin to office is around 60-90min/trip. So either pagdating sa ofc of paguwi sa bahay pwede ako magback up (or download 3min part sa cp) kun kelangan. Bihirang bihira ako mag 4hrs straight lakad sa kalye or long trips - so medyo pasok sa akin ganitong settings.

Medyo not happy with 720p (for transcend & sj4000) sa gabi - medyo grainy na and minsan mahirap na kunin ang plaka.

Pero medyo mas ok ang night vid ng transcend drivepro200 over sj4000.

Will upload later. Pinagtabi ko yun 2 kanina sa windshield. Hehe

Also, my unit seems to be working fine now - shuts off when I shut off the engine. Just drained the battery and charged it til full.

Hi all, interested din ako dito sa SJCAM SJ4000 as dash cam, may magrecommend po ba kayong online store na nag-accept ng paypal/delivery. Yung may package din sanang cam + car mount, and also yung mount is madaling i-rotate pa-turo sa driver side para makunan yung mga buwaya.

May nakita nako sa Lazada na mukang legit na SJCAM SJ4000 pero walang mount. Mas ok ba talaga yung SJCAM? or ok lang din yung iba SJ4000?

Or may iba pa kayong masuggest na dashcam since medyo worried din ako sa quality ni SJ4000 kasi medyo madalas ko ring napapark sa unshaded area pag tanghali yung car. And di ko sure if built si SJ4000 for that kind of abuse. Wherein pag yung mga dashcam talaga, I assume na built sya for direct sunlight/hot temps.


I'll be getting one as safety precaution narin since napakadaming buwayang naka-deploy sa pasay area(I've heard dun sa officemate na taga pasay w/ parent working sa cityhall, na may basbas ng cityhall yang mga crocs(traffic enforcers + ASBU). Hulihin - pag kayang bigyan ng mas mabigat na violation, mas okay, since diretso sa kaban ng cityhall/election yung mga violation fees, tapos pag taga-pasay, mas luwagan if kugn pwede pagbigyan nalang pero pag taga Las Pinas, Cavite, Manila etc - tuluyan). So etong mga buwaya ay todo pabibo sa pag ttrabaho, kahit 10-12mn+ may platoon parin na naka station sa key areas na maraming non-pasay people na dumadaan (edsa-taft, edsa-heritage, edsa-macapagal-moa). Kahit mag bulsa ng suhol, ok lang since madami paring nacconfiscate na license.

Mga sir tanong nmn po, yun bang sj4000 o kaya yung G1W-H mamatay sya pagkapatay ng engine? Kung namamatay sya pag off na engine yun bang power bank pwede magamit to power it? Salamat po.
