the glare from the drl is not that much. the two low beam headlights are connected in series with each other and cancels out when you turn the headlight switch on or apply the parking brakes or place the transmission in neutral. in poorly lit areas, it is an advantage being seen and not hit. an example is when you go through tunnels, underpasses or the day is just gloomy. on the same note, it is very bad road etiquette when people turn their fog lights and high beams when not needed. both absence of drl during poor light conditions and turning fog lights and high beams are not safe..

Certain cars use PWM to dim the hi-beams. Much more power-efficient and safer than the resistor-based ones (which generates unnecessary heat).

US and Canadian 8th Gen Civics uses PWM on their DRLs, which is part of the MICU's function. I wonder if the local FDs have this feature already and are just factory-disabled (ie. missing fuse), since local traffic laws does not require DRL.

I installed DRL on my CRV. ok naman. wala naman glare. though most people mistook it as foglamps. pero ang ok dito automatic siya nag on once the engine starts. so cool feature siya. then pag nag turn on ako ng parklight the light goes dimmer..... it also has a feature na pag nag run signal ka mag blink yung drl parang blinker so dinisable ko baka pagkamalan blinker hehehe mahuli pa ako.....

ok siya kasi once you enter like dark areas like parking lots, tunnel diba maskita agad yung sasakyan no need to switch on your lights. and mahina lang naman siya kumain ng koryente

eh how about ung DRL ng CD-R King? any comment on this? napansin ko kasi 900 Lumens siya ung tig 800+ ba un and it is almost close to 1k Lumens and with 6 LED lights di ba parang sobrang lakas nun? kasi me flashlight 1k lumens kami with 4 lights lang and mas malakas pa siya sa headlight ng auto namin.

kaya ba niya ang init ng makina? di ba mabibiyak after many days use? di ba magfafade or maninilaw ang crystal glass/plastic nito?

I own a small ride and frankly mahirap ako makita ng malalaking sasakyan. So I installed a DRL (with switch). Kapag sobrang sikat ang araw eh pinapatay ko na.

pero me bumili na ba sa inyo ng CD-R King na DRL? malakas kaya tlga siya? kasi kung malakas siya kukuha ako gagawin kong parang fogs hehehehe.
