naka-telescopic hids din ako on a regular halogen (clear-lens) headlight and di sya nakakasilaw coz natatakpan ng diffuser yung buong lower half ng hid bulb including front. kaya yung beam pattern ng ilaw is much the same with the standard beam ng halogen bulb.

Sa China (actually Shanghai and Nanjing) nearly all taxis I saw had projector type HIDs. And private vehicles were using similar projector type HIDs.

Kapansinpansin na walang glare sa incoming traffic even when almost 80% are new cars and these cars all use projector type HIDs.

Most cars in Shanghais were european (VW, Audi, Volvo, BMW and Mercedez Benz).

Dito sa Pilipinas at sa QC puro HIG (High Intensity Glare!).

marami kasi nagkabit ng non-telescopic hids kasi mas mura and/or tinatanggal nila yung diffuser ng bulb para masulit nila ang liwanag ng hid. di nila naiisip ang safety hazards na nagagawa nila to other drivers. very irresponsible...

Mga sir, ano po ba ok na HID? I'm planning to install HIDs on my new Montero Sport. I want the 6000k but how could I find a HID set with low glare? I only want to install HIDs on my low beams. Can you recommend to me a shop? And what brand will last for many years? My budget is PhP 10k.

Walang problema sa montero sport kasi projector na yung OEM headlight assembly nya. Significantly low na yung glare dahil dito. My dad had HIDs installed on his MS, and di naman ako nasisilawan.

It means po ba that it is already telescopic?

telescopic hid means h4 type bulb wherein both low and high beam are hids and that there is an actuator which pulls and pushes the bulb to where you want to use it. if gusto mo bright, then hinihila ata ang bulb papasok ng konti. i may be wrong pero parang ganon ang pagkakaintindi ko ng concept ng telescopic. kaya naging low glare ang hid sa projectors kasi nakatutok ang focus ng ilaw unlike sa mga frosted/fluted na lights na hindi naman talaga meant for hids. if you want to change your lights to hids, check what kind of bulb you have. if it is a single beam bulb, then just get the equivalent hid kit for it. no need to have a budget of 10k especially if you already have projectors. most likely half lang gastos mo. most likely ha? :D

so anong ok na brand ng HID? i'm thinking of xenonworx or vtxhid. nakita ko sa isang thread na yung xenonworx 11860 price ng single beam, tapos yung vtxhid 10k price single beam din. dun ba sa mga binanggit kong price kasama na dun yung ballast?

A shop near our house was offering me VTX 4300k for around 6k with 1 year warranty. So medyo pricey ata yung quote sayo.

Complete set na yan with ballast, igniter, bulbs, etc.

I suggest you stick to 4300k. My dad's MS has a 6000k kit installed, nabibitin ako sa ulan/asphalt roads.

Nag pa install ako kanina VTX HID 8000k and cost nya ay 6K complete set para sa low beam ng swift ko. ok naman ang buga nya. Warranty nya is 2yrs.

VTX HID is a good brand. Matagal na yan so no worries.

Sa street tech, they have DK and xenon worx ata. Not sure pero I was there the other day grabe less than 4,000 nalang ang HID. Nagpakabit ako ng HID last August lang 4500 pa ata ang HID.

Street tech is around 3 or 4 stores away from Jetcar.
Pag galing sa Q. Ave(Heading towards welcome rotonda) Turn right * Banawe (Mcdonald's) then go past 2 intersections. You will see Jetcar and Street tech sa left side na hilera ng shops

P4,800 for single beam I assume? Cause their telescopics (H4 hi/lo) cost 6k...

Question: If I put HID on my Montero Sport, what will happen to the hi beam?

it'll still be halogen since they have separate bulbs unless you also upgrade your hi beam to hid.
