January 19th, 2011 01:39 PM #4Any of the two mentioned above (Philips Xtreme Power +80 or Osram Nightbreaker are your best options). A tad brighter than stock bulbs,
stock wattage so no need to change anything except the bulbs.
Never buy superwhites. Waste of money, in normal conditions output is
mediocre already.

January 19th, 2011 11:59 PM #7I've tried and tested both the Philips Xtreme and Osram Nightbreakers.. Between the two, i'd choose the Philips, its basically the same color as stock but it is definitely brighter.. The Osrams are ok but because of its bluish-whitish property, it can be a bit hard to see when its raining and your driving on asphalt..

Same here. Tried both and I think the Xtrema is a better although a bit more expensive compared to the osram.
As for the TS question, superwhites are crappy in foul weather, even those superwhites from Polarg, IPF, Philips are no good.
For foul, weather, all weathers are still the best

Wouldn't matter whether they're halogen or HIDs since water reflection is based on the color spectrum of the bulb. The nearer you are to white, the more "blind" you are in a heavy downpour.
All weather bulbs are still the best in the rainy season. If not, slap an all weather on your fogs and slap the Philips on your low-beam. Better a bit blind than totally blind right?
