as long as hindi ginalaw yung reflector walang problema kasi yun ang importante dun yun nag rereflect sa liwanag na binibigay ng ilaw niyo/ yung bulb sa loob palabas ng headlight.

hi, buhayin ko lang ulit tong thread.

recently pinalagyan ko HID yung boxtype sentra namin.

purpose ko kasi is not for porma but safety reasons, masyado kasi mahina yung stock bulb, nakailang bangang aso nako, kaya warak na bumper ko plus talagang nakaka alanganin yung liwanag nung headlight, mostly kasi provincial trip namin at madaling araw or gabi byahe namin.

so last week nalagyan yung oto namin, napansin ko nag-improve sa both sides kasi lumiwanag sa mga gilid, pero yung sa harap parang hindi masyado, konti lang niliwanag, 6000k yung nilagay.

question ko lang, since luma na yung car, napansin ko kasi yung headlamp medyo madumi na and me mga guhit-guhit parang distribution ng lights yung pagkaka design nya, hindi kaya yun ang cost kaya mahina buga nya sa center, hindi ko pa rin kasi makita ng malayuan yung bagong HID which is yun talaga purpose ko.

one more thing, yung loob ng headlamp yun bang parang reflector nya or filament eh medyo kupas na, me kaso kaya yun kaya parang mahina ang buga nya?

and lastly, yung bulb ng HID is parang me takip, pwede bang alisin yun para lumakas buga nya at kahit di na magpalit ng headlamp?

responsible driver here, low beam pag me kasalubong.

If I were you, I'd try to find a pair of brand new / replacement (that's good quality) head lamps. It will save you in the long run with your lighting trouble. Not to mention, your car would look a lot better with new ones too!

Hi, yes that's the first thing i'll do, but i'm provincial base and i don't know if there's a pair for boxtype sentra '90 being sold here. I'm trying to search at sulit.com but seems there's no available for old models.

how bout replacing it with a table glass 1/4 size?

    4.) Coolness factor

    Disadvantage:
1.) Causes a lot of glare for on-coming traffic, especially when the grounds are wet as the light reflects from the wet ground. Could cause an accident.
2.) As the color of the light emitted is white, light doesn't cut much through the...atmosphere on days that are foggy or during heavy rain compared to normal incandescent bulbs that has a yellowish-colored light.
    3.) Expensive

AFAIK, HIDs are mostly used for low-beams. However, I see a lot of idiotic, HID-totting car owners out there that have their expensive HID lams on full burn i.e. high beam. This causes a lot of discomfort drivers coming from the opposite direction as it causes glare that hurts the driver's eyes, thus temporarily bliding the oncoming driver. On dark roads where street lighting is poor or non-existent, drivers blinded by oncoming traffic may get involved in an accident.

Nothing wrong with installing a HID. Your car, your money to burn. If you do install a HID, one small request: don't be like those idiots that I'm talking about - be a responsible driver/owner.

Thank you Don for calling attention to those idiots out there who have their HIDs on high beam. There are also those idiots from the LTO and the idiot traffic police who do not monitor this and just allow this on our roads. Well . . . I guess the recent hostage fiasco just proves how incompetent our police (including traffic) are.

Talking about HiDs (but responsible use of this), does anyone know what size of all-whether HiDs I can use to replace the incandescent bulbs for the fog lamps of the new Tucson?

That's funny nga wala sa manual yung size ng bulbs. Even Hyundai accessories can't give me an answer. Anyone who may know the answer, pls pls? Thanks for reply harold13

HIDs are not the solution to not being able to see during rains or very dark nights. Your old school sentra does not need the HID (including its accompanying ballasts and wiring). You will only incur unnecessary expenses, coz di naman projector ang headlight assembly mo. Sabog ang lalabas na ilaw. Might I suggest an allweather 100w/90w bulb - narva or hella has these (and they cost only P300 to P500 petot per bulb lang).

another thing dami nag rereklamo mahina ang 35w 8000k hid sa ulan. sagutin ko lang base on my 3 yrs. experience in selling hid's.

by the way yung color ng hid depende sa brand not all 8000k is bluish white and 10000k is purple.

I assume you have the 2.0S Civic. Well the reflectors of that car is designed specifically for HID.

Don't worry that doesn't glare anyone on the road. And no, the smoked lamps don't change the glare factor. It's really the design of the reflector that's suited to your HID.

    Agree with jut.
