My car has been bumped by a driver last January. His insurance. Company is BPI MS. It is almost 3 months since the accident and nothing has been done to the car despite giving bpi resources or suppliers for the 2 banged up doors that need new replacements. Their reason is that they have their own accredited suppliers which incidentally can only provide for a rear door. On top of this is the slow process of approval and transmission of authorizations to my chosen car service provider. I have been texting the driver who got me into this mess and all he can manage to say is to wait for information from bpims which he hav contacted. I am tired of waiting and tired of spending extra for cab fares since my car has been indisposed. Is there a way of asking to be reimbursed for all the trouble the driver has caused? BPI MS also needs to be proactive if they see that their suppliers do not have the needed parts. Why do they wait for clients to be angry before they take some action? Is there a good lawyer out there who can give advise for retribution ir reimbursement. If a car accident happened in the US, I know I will be taken cared of because the insurance company will provide me with a car I can use while waiting for repairs to be done on my car. Why can't insurance companies do the same thing here in the Phils?
You're technically not the client. Have your insurance negotiate. If you don't have insurance, then it will be more difficult. Insurance companies do this to get more clients.
If you can afford, file a case against the party at fault. A criminal action or a threat to sue should put some pressure to settle and i believe is relatively cheaper and easier to manage than a civil case, that is if the crime hasnt prescribed yet
The exact same thing happened to me, my claim has reached 400+ thousand and the same exact process happened to me, it took bpims almost 2 months to finally approve my claim, talked to seceral managers from our city's branch to the main. I already have given them my last word and told them thatvthe next time I will reach out is with a lawyer present already. And yes, they approved it. I love the bank, yes, don't get me wrong, and I still have an account with BPI, but will never recommend their car insurance. Like what I've posted to several media sites. This is the worst insurance so far.

I don't know but my sister in law working in BPI BANK said that they just have a arrangement with mitsui sumitomo insurance.it's like accreditation.
All insurance business of BPI BANK will be handled by mitsui sumitomo.[emoji3]
Tomorrow will be the 14th day since all documents was submitted for a cracked windshield claim with BPI/MS. On the 7th day nag follow up ako wala rin nangyari o feedback from insurance... They are my isurer for the past 7 years and reading from post in this thread, indi maganda itong BPI. Lilipat nalang ako Mapfre.
^ i don't work for BPI, but I have seamless transactions with them.
Inspector will not call you. Once you have completed initial doc requirements, they will email you with the different schedule and CASA branches for vehicle inspect. They will give you option also if you rather want to send email pictures of your damaged car.
Baligtad nga on my case, sila pa nagffollow up sa akin if I have the vehicle inspected already.

^Me too, been banking with them for too long na.... Thats what am told at the bank. On day 1, my banker called bpims asking what requirements to submit. Was told to provide the ff: affidavit of accident, or/cr, picture, casa estimate and policy. These were submitted the ff day, banker called bpims again at sabi 2+k ang participation fee and have to wait in 2 days for the call for inspection. On 7th day i called banker at wala naman nag inspect. Tinawagan nya uli at sabi scheduled for inspection nadaw. This monday follow up ko uli at pang 4th week na. Will ask na for my agent sa insurance ang agent code nag appear sa policy as i have read on post above. Baka wait nila mabasag muna windshield bago mag action. Good for you at sila na nag follow up. My previous insurer wala problema.
park the car on their office parking space, with a sign, "awaiting disposition".

...heh heh...
I am a long time (and satisfied) bpi customer. But like you, I have 2 bad experiences with bpi m/s.
similar dito, ok na requirements nag re reply naman sa calls and emails pero sobrang tagal nung inspector. comparably, my suking insurance took only 2 days to begin work.
I just found this thread, di pala ko nag iisa.
Sa sobrang asar namin sa bpi m/s, we fully paid the loan, naka lagay kasi sa contract na obligado i renew sa bpi m/s during the duration of the loan
Wife got an Innova thru a loan w/ BPI so, BPI/MS ang insurance. May mga bangga grill, front & back bumper ng car. Called them up & said to bring it to one of their drive in centers for evaluation. Just read the not good reviews here. Well, good luck to us!
My car loan is also via BPI, but I opted to get the insurance via the in-house provider of the dealer.
