    Innova 2013 g 2.5 dsl a/t, mid fc says 6.2km/l city driving.

    While full tank method gave me 6.7 km/l ave. City driving.

    Normal na po ba yun fc?

    On our last coast to coast road trip back in 2014, I got 428 miles (mostly highway driving with cruise control) on my 2006 Sonata V6 with a little gas still in the tank. The gas needle would be just hitting the red empty mark. The capacity of the gas tank is 17.7 gal.

    428/17.7 = 24.2 miles/gal = 10.29 km/liter highway

    City driving is lower because I also tend to gun the accelerator at stoplights. 3/4 of a tank lasts 261 miles. We don't sit still for long at stoplights. Speed limits are usually 40-55 mph.

    So...... 17.7 * 3/4 = 13.275 gal

    261/13.275 = 19.66 miles/gal = 8.36 km/liter combined city and highway

    I haven't kept tabs on the wife's Rogue. But, the fuel mileage reads 21.6 miles/gal and I tend to agree.

    21.6 miles/gal = 9.18 km/liter

    Both cars use unleaded 87 octane.

    Current gas prices for unleaded hover around $1.70/gal = $0.45/liter

    I was thinking about this last night:

    Diesel= P26/L and Gasoline = P37/L

    I have
    5km/L (G)= P7.40 per Km(cost-effective: 5th);
    6Km/L (D)= P4.33 per Km(cost-effective: 3rd);
    7Km/L (G)= P5.29 per Km(cost-effective: 4th);
    8Km/L (D)= P3.25 per Km(most cost-effective);
    9Km/L (G)= P4.11 per Km(cost-effective: 2nd)

    Why is your FC so high? What route is this?

    I get around 4km/L city for both the Tribute 2.3 and the Granvia 3.0, though since the Granvia runs on diesel, the resulting fuel cost is significantly different.

    The Revo diesel consistently gets above 7km/L.

    Sa innova sir, ganyan din nakukuha ko these days dahil sa sobrang traffic, sa 500 pesos ko nakakatakbo lang ako nang 103KM * 17.3 Liters of Petrol Diesel. Pero pagka hiway driving naman nakaka 10km/L ako.

    in this country, parang pare-pareho lang sila, octane-wise.
    some brands claim added benefits from their brand additives.
    does it work as advertised? i don't know.

    So far I've used gas from many different brands and I hardly notice any difference now especially after everyone shifted to Euro 4. I have no problem gassing up in small, lesser-known stations. I often gas up at a station called Smartgas which has one of the lowest prices in my vicinity. No problem so far.
