    at about 10 km/ltr, i'm happy with the sonata's mileage vis-a-vis engine size though i'm sure it will still improve and you're right, it's relatively powerful at 234 hp. the engine is so quiet and the ride so smooth that at 65 mph (i.e. 100kph) eh parang balewala pa. kung hindi nga lang break-in period eh naihataw ko na siguro sa freeway :car:

    wow reading through the thread, it looks like my FC for the 07 Civic is bad.

    i'm only getting around 8.4km/l city driving. but break in pa lng naman....

    sana magimprove pa to....

    just came from a 700 mile (1,120 km) trip to & from san diego on our 3.3 v6 sonata. i averaged 30.4 mpg (about 12.85 km/l) papunta dun at 26.7 mpg (about 11.28 km/l) on the way back with odo reading now at 1,823 miles.

    EK Vti MT 9 to 11 km/l city, 14 to 17 highway
    Jazz 1.3 idsi AT CVT 10 to 14 km/l city, 15 to 17 highway
    Mazda 3 R 2.0 AT 8 to 9 km/l city, 11 to 13 highway

    For the jazz to get over 20km/l you need to keep your cruising speed under 100 kph...

    Wow... Just got my Mazda3 3 months ago and my ave consumption purely city and village driving (puro humps) and I am ave just below 6km/ltr... is this correct???? I thought it should be around 8km/ltr at the very least kahi mabigat na ang paa. is there something wrong with my car or me??? Anyone???

    6 km/l on a relatively new unit driven on city and subdivision roads is not impossible. You're fuel mileage might improve as you put on the mileage. My unit has over 30k kilometers and I avoid rush hour traffic and short trips. Even then, 6 km/l on a 2.0l AT purely city driven is actually not that bad...

    Newbie to Tsikot!

    Ride is a Mazda 3R 2.0 AT - 7 to 7.7 km/l city driving (generally Antipolo to Ortigas Center) with mileage at 10k
