Mmmm... Myth Busters anyone?
I would have thinked twice if Mr. Planas has a doctorate in mechanical engineering. Problem is that Mr. Planas doesn't even has a baccalaureate degree (not that people without a diploma wouldn't succeed in life but biskolang is implying that they should).Originally Posted by mbt
Here's fuelsaving's biography by the way:
Academically, I have an engineering degree from Cambridge University and am a Chartered Engineer.
I worked for six years at Rover's advanced engines department, the last three of them in close conjunction with the equivalent BMW department. While there I worked on many different fuel-economy concepts, including lean-burn, variable turbulence, exhaust gas recirculation, petrol direct injection, and the system described by BMW as "Valvetronic". I also did some work on diesel engines, including the Land Rover "TD5".
This work involved testing concept engines on state-of-the-art multi-million-pound research test beds equipped with full emissions and fuel consumption measurement as well as in-cylinder pressure transducers to fully characterise the combustion process. We also employed a number of techniques to directly measure the air motion (turbulence) in the engine, including engines made substantially from glass, so changes to the intake system could be assessed. I also personally developed various techniques for researching in-engine processes, and presented some of them at international technical conferences.
Since 1999 I have been employed by Bosch, setting up engine managment systems in order to meet production requirements for emissions, economy, driveability, diagnostics, etc. This includes cars from a number of major manufacturers, destined for both European and US markets. As well as economical "mainstream" cars, I have also worked on some extremely high performance turbocharged and naturally aspirated derivatives (250+ bhp/ton).

bisa-something dude,
proof lang naman that this thing works ang kailangan ng mga peeps here. yun lang.
maybe you could summarize all your arguements and post them here. ayt? everyone in this forum would love to see them in black and white.
Since you have observed this forum "quite often", have you noticed that people behind had promised several times to post results of their tests here but up till now hadn't done so? And now, you are challenging ghosthunter to show up for a technical discussion, well, I hope you have concrete results and not some rehash from Inventionhaus. Most importantly!, you have to prove that NOX emissions don't increase when you use Khaos. Because according to Planas Nox emissions are not significant factors, and that the catalytic converter is useless, which is a load of crap.Originally Posted by bisakolang

"THIS is in reaction to the news item titled "Engine 'defect' adding to woes of car owners." (Inquirer, 5/1/05) A certain Pablo Planas discovered the "defect" in the car engine. He invented a device now called the Khaos Super Turbo Charger. The invention maximizes the burning of gasoline in the carburetor, thus minimizing the carbon monoxide coming out of the car engine. The Department of Energy (DOE) and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) conducted a test to determine the effectiveness of the device. The test showed enhanced engine efficiency, which means savings in gasoline consumption and almost zero pollution. I hope this turbo charger will be used in solving or limiting air pollution, as well as in cutting down fuel consumption. I strongly urge our government, DOE, DOST and the Pollution Control Association of the Philippines Inc. to assist Planas and other interested inventors and researchers in order to serve the needs of time.

Media has such a significant impact. People reading about Khaos want to believe it works. So there are a lot of people defending and supporting it. Without knowing the concerns behind it.

still waiting![]()
sir bisakolong ... we're not asking much from the Khaos peeps naman .. you say it's a gas saving device .. ok .. we're not questioning about how Khaos can save gas ... because we know lean burn can save gas ... we're just asking how did they address NOx emission which is a side effect of lean burn ... it's a fair question which nobody from the khaos side has ever answered ... and let's not talk about credentials because the inventor was a jeepney driver ...
baka naman walang access yung mga khaos technicians sa internet ... baka pwede mo pahiramin na muna yung id mo ...

I myself would want this product to work. If this is really their sincere belief, they should be open to both the pros and cons of the product which I believe we have been for the past 101 pages of this thread. The problem is, some people can be "sincerely wrong" about their opinion because they tend to just lean on one side of the issue and have the nerve to call/brand people on the "other side" as unpatriotic, which makes me really upset.Originally Posted by mrpink

i shall return.......
