Biodiesel acts as a solvent. It softens the carbon deposits and in the process it is gradually removed. We have tried this in motorcycles using another bi-product of CME (Coco Methyl Ester), the Estrol 2T. This 2T is 60% Biodiesel wherein the difference is the lubricity. We use the 2T oil for cleaning the carbon deposits of 2-stroke engines and scraping it by our hand or piece of cloth.

    *altec,
nope, iba sya sa carbon cleaning. biodiesel per se is fuel - a cleaner burning fuel that is. mas malinis sa crude diesel natin. yung cleaning effect nya e inherent sa kanya dahil mas malakas ang dissolving power nya vs. diesel. It can be both good and bad for your engine depending on your engine age and condition.

yung carbon cleaning ata (si Doc Diesel ang authority dito) one time cleaning with a fast burning or high solvency fluid. Dunno kung may fuel value yung fluid na yon.

almost correct si rsnald. yung carbon clean is one time cleaning with a solvent that is injected into your engine by a dialysis like machine [see our website for this]. no fuel value nga ang fluid.

biodiesel is pour in fuel sa tank.

    Doc D,
Why don't you recommend biodiesel in common rail injec systems- like in the trooper? What's the possible damage?

    Ray,
Any views on using biodiesel in common rail systems?
