i noticed taxi's in HK uses LPGs. the (LPG) tank was at the trunk. hehehehe. if that pushes thru, then i think that'll help.

they only convert cars with carb engines.
i've talked to a petron representative two weekends ago at the fort where they had a booth display. its korean technology daw and it will costs you more than P26,000 for the convertion. according to them, their customers are mostly taxi operators. you can still use unleaded fuel when you ran out of LPG. LPG fuel costs P21/liter daw and there are currently 5 petron LPG refilling stations daw in the metro.

Sa Seoul Korea, dami ngang taxi na naka LPG. I-mass produce na sana sa atin yan. Mas mura.

Ano naman kaya mileage niyan, lets say yung "full tank", ilang kms. aabutin?

I passed by Petron Marcos Hi-way and I think they have this project to convert cars to be LPG-fed (actually bi fuel kasi iretain ata orig na set-up)... Extend Autogas ata... basta orange-colored yung coding nya... Anyone tried it?

di pala orange, blue pala and yellow orange letterings... tapat ng sta. lucia yung petron na nakita ko yun... worth it ata eh... nicompute ng officemate ko sa Revo nya and 243 days daw mababawi nya initial investment nya...

Does anybody can advice contact details of big installers and traders of LPG kits in Philippines?
We produce electronic products for LPG conversion which are cheaper than Italian and much better than Chinease ones. They are very popular in Thailand and we want to sell them in Philippines, too.

petron buendia branch is already refilling lpg car tanks and they said they can refill cars with conversion kits installed by naidss.

o.t. hong kong has long been using lpg for their taxis, most if not all taxis in hong kong i saw are "old model" toyota crown sedans. you can check their website www.toyota.com.hk

actually meron mga old toyota and nissan taxis with LPG that was imported and convereted in subic. i was offered several of these car for purchase as a taxi franchise.

any idea kung ilang kilometers before refilling the LPG tank? how much per refill?

you should have the same milage with LPG as you would get with gasoline. Since the LPG tank is 60 liters capacity, assuming 6 to 8 km/L, that should get you 360 to 480 km per tank.

In Europe, some converters sell spare-tire shaped tanks that fit in the stock spare-tire well.

NAIADSS mentioned they have smaller tanks than the 60 liter capacity tank. They have mentioned 30 or 40 liter tanks than would fit under the seats of a Honda CRV. Also a donut LPG tank that fits in the spare tire area of your trunk.

hmmm, i'm guessing the components of the conversion kit aren't really stuff that you can find at any suking auto shop. at parang proprietary pa, i.e. petron's system is different from naiadss, etc.

so you'd essentially be dependent on them for the maintenance of the lpg kit?

i hope i don't sound like i'm dissing the LPG thing; i'd sure want to see more lpg cars on the streets, coz then the talyers might think about offering lpg system repair/maintenance na rin
