July 21st, 2010 09:11 PM #3522Zed2d,
I hope I'm not intimidating you with my questions.
Did Econogas made any settings on your car for petrol/lpg ratio, or did you simply go for 100% LPG?
Is this the car you plugged the kit with?

Hope your f/c issues are resolved. I'm eying to fit that kit on my APV, soon.

Hello Guys, Im about to get a 2004 Expedition equipped with Tartarini LPG kit.
According to the owner no worries but I want to hear it from you if there are any no problems with it. I'm new to LPG equipped SUV and I'm a bit worried about some horror stories that I have heard. Some are, Spark Plug get busted quickly, valve burn injectors clogging and rubber sealant, etc.
Are these true? I have talk to some friends that are using it already for more than a year now and according to them they don't have any problem with it.
Is there anybody here using Tartarini with the V8 engine? TIA

August 6th, 2010 01:52 PM #3527good day to everyone! Ang haba na ng thread hahaha. For those who still have doubt about using lpg conversions, i had my suzuki samurai converted 7 yrs ago here in davao when we are only two lpg vehicles running on it. My children used this car to and from school during their college days, Now they are professionals and they still love using this car tho we have acquired two more late vehicles, No problem for 7 yrs, oh theres one when the timing belt gave up and had to take out the cyl head for inspection. When inspected its like brand spanking new! Never changed the spark plug for 7 yrs, bosch platinum had to clean it once a year tho not dirty yet but to see if its still removable baka na welding na sa cyl head hehe.
No change in hp from 9km/l gas to 8km/l lpg not never regreted shifting to lpg. Hope this helps in anyway

* jojo hernandez, Wow! 7 years. Pero question ko is gaano kahaba na ba tinakbo ng Samurai with LPG in terms of KM? Kung Expedition V8 will you still use LPG?
Sulit parin ba talaga? Kahit masbilis mapundi yun plugs at Mabilis dumumi yun Injector's and some also claims na pati daw valve affected din.
Main reason kaya interesado ako is nakikita ko na fuel prices are going up until December this year. Sayang din kung makakatipid ako pero kung mas magastos ang maintenance parang talo din. Just a thought. Thanks!

August 8th, 2010 09:12 AM #3530* larshell my sammy has gone more than 160k with 2 timing belt belts replacements, still runs like a dream, thats on lpg since i condemned my fuel pump and gasoline tank about 5 yrs ago.
There are expi's and trailblazers here in davao on 100% lpg and i haven't heard any complains from owners. I'm also into converting my two efi vehicles, however im still looking for a reliable sgi installer here. All i can say is that for carbed engines go lpg hindi masyado maselan sa oily lpg just spray the carb an air intake with a good carb cleaner and forget it. It will keep on running just do regular oil change every 4 to 6 mos or so with motor oil suitable for lpg fueled engines and you'll be ok.
And also edit option is not allowed anymore
