Better to pull out the LPG kit main fuse. Without the fuse the tank's multivalve will be normally closed.Originally Posted by n5110
Hello guys,
need help. i notice today i have a lpg leak sa engine bay, the leak is coming from the solenoid (tama ba?) the thing with 2 tubings and a grounding wire on the top. after i switch off the engine and open the hood i saw, hear and smell the lpg coming out at the bottom part not from the 2 tube fittings?
upon checking i saw a nut (like a 10mm in size) i tried to call greenfuel but was able to talk to Lorna only. can i just tighten the nut a bit to seal the leak? at the moment im not using my lpg. inputs is highly appreciated. Thanks a lot.
Anything you see and feel not normal with your LPG kit just remove the main fuse to be safe.
The thread over at subaruforester.org insists the importance of flash lube. There are hardened valves and for the subaru turbo models, you have to get them installed which will definitely increase cost. Also most cars do not have hardened valves that can actually withstand the wear and tear of using LPG. Question now is why is the distributor of Flash Lube not having tie ups with any of the LPG installers?
I've read that they have made tartarini run on subaru turbo models including what I have, forester 2009 xt. Its just unfortunate that my inquiries and calls have not yet yielded any reply from Ambient. Stargas carries Prinz however even with their advance system, they declined. Prinz is known in Europe not to work with Subarus.
I'll go back to Tartarini (Ambient) and see if they have recieved info on how to do my set up from Italy. Turbo on a 2008 (cant read italian though) http://www.lpghaber.com/html/phpbb2/...opic-9819.html
Ask them to tighten the knot on the filter. double check the copper pipe connections as well coz this is where most leaks come from. A simple bycon ring replacement should do the trick. If you still have problems after that feel free to drop by Xoom Timog. I'll be glad to assist you on this problem.
Cheers!
called up greenfuel this morning para i explain kay warren yung problema ko sa lpg. he said it can be loose or some dirt/contaminants sa solenoid. hinde ko na muna gagalawin at mahirap baka lumala ang problema. will be going there on thursday before heading to angeles.
*mile2: thanks sa advice, tanong ko sa greenfuel kung saan ang location ng fuse for future reference.
thanks sa offer sir. try ko muna sa greenfuel since in warranty pa itong kit ko.
LPG kit main fuse is located near the battery. You'll see a knife type fuse holder on a single wire connected to your battery positive terminal. The fuse rating is 15 Amp. You'll know that it is the LPG kit fuse when after removal the LPG/Gasoline indicator LED in your dashboard is not functioning.
I usually remove this fuse when I send my Innova to Toyota for PMS, this will make sure that Toyota service crew can't play with my LPG kit.

Eastern Petroleum cuts Auto-LPG P2/liter
11/11/2008 | 06:13 PM
MANILA, Philippines - An independent oil firm on Tuesday responded to the substantial rollback by its two giant rivals, and announced its own cutback on the price of automotive liquefied petroleum gas (Auto-LPG).
GMA’s Flash report said that Eastern Petroleum would slash the price of its Autogas by P2, bringing down its price to P24 per liter.
While 11-kilogram cylinders of LPG are used at home, Auto-LPG is used as engine fuel, especially for LPG-run taxis.
Auto-LPG has slowly become the preferred fuel of a number of taxi drivers because it is relatively cheaper compared to other types of engine fuel, the report said.
The Autogas price cut came hours after Pilipinas Shell and Petron Corp announced it would reduce by P6 per kilogram the prices of its LPG products starting Wednesday.
The price adjustment of the Eastern Petroleum, however, would take effect at least six hours earlier than its two giant rivals or beginning 6 p.m.
In a related development, LPG Marketers Association president Arnel Ty said they are currently studying their options to see if they could still implement yet another LPG price cut over the coming weekend.
Since October 31, the LPGMA has already rolled back its LPG prices by a total of P12 per liter in five different instances.
Among the LPG products that the LPGMA sells are Pinnacle Gas, Cat Gas, Omni Gas, Nation Gas and Island Gas. - Mark Merueňas, GMANews.TV

MANILA, Philippines – The Liquefied Petroleum Gas Marketers Association (LPGMA) on Wednesday announced it will roll back its liquefied petroleum gas prices by P4 per kilogram on Thursday, bringing down the price of an 11-kg LPG cylinder by P44.
The LPGMA will also reduce its automotive-LPG or auto-gas prices by P2 per liter.
All price rollbacks will take effect 12:01 a.m. Thursday, the group said.
Radio dzBB’s Mao dela Cruz quoted LPGMA president Arnel Ty as saying that the price cuts were prompted by the substantial rollbacks from three oil firms implemented 12:01 Wednesday.
Earlier in the day, Pilipinas Shell and Petron Corp. reduced by P6 per kilogram the prices of its LPG products while Eastern Petroleum slashed the price of its Autogas by P2, bringing down its price to P24 per liter.
LPGMA’s freshest round of rollback came after Energy Secretary Angelo Reyes expressed dissatisfaction over the P1 per kilogram rollback it implemented last Tuesday.
Last week, Reyes also urged the LPG firms to further reduce their LPG prices by at least P15-P17 per kilogram since pump prices in the world market have significantly dropped by 39 percent.
As of Wedensday, the LPGMA has reduced its LPG prices by P5 per kilogram. - Sophia Dedace, GMANews.TV
as advice by warren of greenfuel i can remove the nut and check the filter and clean it. ito ang nakita ko, punit yung o-ring and my filter is very dirty, lahat ng mga black flakes na nasa papel galing yan sa filter ng lpg ko. i try to get a new o-ring and blow off the dirt sa filter and assemble the thing back. so far no leaks. will monitor kung magkakaron ulit.
natakot lang ako nung niluluwagan ko yung nut (actually bolt pala ito) biglang sumingaw ng malakas yung lpg ko. yun pala yung natitirang lpg sa line.

Vogas is the most advanced Lpg Autogas Gas injection system on the market, far superior with British gas Ecu's & software the Vogas can run in true slave, full control & Split fuel mode so it can fit 99% of all injection vehicles including soft valve engines & Mitsubishi GDi engines as the Vogas Split fuel technology can protect the engine from damage unlike other systems with need fluid additives for soft valve engines & cannot work on GDi engines, the system is controlled by the vehicles petrol Ecu, the system once fitted does not restrict the engines performance fitting & does not suffer from any backfire problems unlike other systems, etc.... the Vogas systems can be fitted to nearly all injection engines including Turbo & Super charged engines, soft valve engines like Ford, Honda, S-type Jaguar, Vauxhall, with V-tec, Zetec, Ecotec, Duratec engines & Mitsubishi GDi engines with out any additives.
i just cut and paste this.
