if for everyday world, i dont have plans of racing it....pero siyempre minsan ayaw mo naman mapahiya sa traffic light drag...

4age 20v silver or blacktop vs. b16a/b18c vs MIVEC 4g92/6a10/6a11.

OT na kasi pag sinama ko na mga T na sikat sa pinas...sr20det,4g63t. i just want a n/a alternative na din...so dyan nalang sa mga engines tayo iikot at mag-cocompare...

mazda, walang vvt pag same year, right? T lang din: b6T, BPT...

The only Mazda high-powered NA engine that's available is the FSZE. That's non-VVT, but it's VICS equipped. It's a 170 hp 2.0 engine, with peak power at a heady 7000 rpm (higher than the FSDE in the Lynx RS can even rev).

Nearly impossible to swap here, unless you have a Ford Lynx RS and a mechanic familiar with the FSZE.

    -----

The VQ20 isn't a screamer, but it's over 160 hp, right? It should be possible to do a Sentra swap , as they've already swapped the VQ30 into the Sentra in the US (yeah, you heard right... a 225 hp V6 in a Sentra... and yes, it goes like stink)... but then, it's a very, very difficult swap.

But if it's the old CA20-equipped Maxima, an SR20DE or SR20DET swap is easily doable, and you won't even have to bother with shaved axles (the downfall of many SR20 swappers who are too cheap to buy original US axles for their Sentras), as the Altima axles will probably be exactly the right lengths.

After that, good body work, mags and seats... meron ka nang classic cruiser...

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

yup ca20 ako... and it consumes like a v6, but only puts out like modern 1.8L..

di ko gagayahin yung nag sr20det swap na may body kits.. kung gagawin ko to stock look, dadagdag lang ako ng chins....and remove the spoiler.... is it safe to replace my undercarriage (suspension systems,etc..magagamit ko lang is ung body and interior), lets say for a series 3 sentra/cefiro?

iipon pa me konti pa...while that: tuloy pa natin discussion dito, baka makita ko kung alin mas feasible:

Well, the nice thing about the CA20 is that the Maxima can still hit 200. Too bad you'll never find a road long enough to do that...

Maraming "sleeper" na Cefiro na naka RB26DETT... marami ding "sleeper" na Sentra/California (boxtype, kapanahon ng Maxima) na naka-SR20. It's a good way to go... keep the body clean, spend a little on the cosmetics.

The undercarriage, I honestly don't know, because I'm not familiar with the platform. But if you replace everything with new parts, it should stiffen up. If you're Obsessive Compulsive, you could also re-weld all the joints. That stiffens up the body and improves handling. I've seen DMF Motorsports do it to old Corollas to prepare them for drifting... kaya lang, sobrang matrabaho.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

matrabaho talaga, ung gagawa ang problema.... parts walang problem, buong series3 or buong cefiro lang ok na....sr20det madali nalang din yun...pero, coconvince ko muna si mami...kungdi corolla or civic, sentra or 323 familia(better kung 323F) or lynx ghia...

    balik tayo sa VVT topic....

It's a 4g92 based on the claim of the owner of the engine hp rating. The only other 16 valve MIVEC engines for MMC was the 2.4L 4g69 on the Outlander and the 4g63 turbo on the Evo IX. The 4g69 was a recent addition to their engine line and the 4g63 didn't have MIVEC until 2006.

    Max Torque: 137Nm * 5000rpm

    4G92 16-valve DOHC 1.6 liter MIVEC specs.
    Bore x Stroke: 81.0 x 77.5Piston
    Displacement: 1597cc
Compression Ratio: 11.0:1ECI-Multi(Electronically Controlled Multi-point Fuel Injection)

    SOHC is non-MIVEC.

Non-MIVEC DOHC was available on the Lancer MR 92-93. I don't know what that translates to in the RP.

DOHC MIVEC was available on the 92-99 3 door Lancer/Mirage Cyborg R/ZR (hatch version of the Lancer itlog and pizza)and the Mirage ZR/Asti RX(same body as the Lancer GSR).

The production dates may differ, AFAIK the MIVEC was only offered in RHD cars, but I could be wrong. The non-MIVEC DOHC was still being used in the pizza AFAIK in LHD cars. The US just got the 4g15 and the 4g93 for the pizza and the itlog was the last time we saw the 4g92 just not sure if it was SOHC or DOHC non-MIVEC.

I wish I could get the 6a10 MIVEC so I can put it in my GSR like the guy in the RP I saw in cardomain with a V6 in his GSR. Anybody know who that guy is? For now I can only swap to a 4g93 or change my 4g15 to a DOHC(still not sure if this LHD cars). What kind of car do you have?

Just to put the 4g92 MIVEC in perspective here is a list of some of the highest horsepower per liter N/A engines and cars.

    Ferrari F50 GT = 153 per liter
    Honda F20C = 120
    Honda B16B = 116
    Ferrari 430 = 112
    Ferrari 360 = 111
    Honda B18C = 111
    Ferrari F50 = 109.4
    Mitsu 4g92MIVEC= 109.375
    Ferrari 355 = 108.57
    Ferrari Enzo = 108.33
    Toyota 4A-GE = 103
    Ferrari 599GTB = 102

Just imagine if it had the same displacement as some of those Ferrari engines.
