Does the Innova (Current gen) still have that feeling above 90kph where there is no feeling of steering feedback anymore and that it feels like your "front" is "floating a little"? We owned the first gen and just driving it at 100kph sa expressways parang lutang and nauuga ng crosswinds kaya I decided to just stick to 80-90kph for that vehicle specifically sa highway.

Ive used it once sa Nlex then the rest of the time sa province lang. Ive never noticed anything about the steering. Mas masarap kasi idrive ang Fortuner lalo sa long drive hands down. Ewan ko lang pag pasahero na.

Don’t be naive. There are a lot of people who drive faster than the speed limit almost everywhere. Even within our local expressways, enforcers say they are ok with people doing 120 kmh.

If you do drive just within the limit, please stay on the right lane.

while some folks are concerned about how fast they may be allowed drive,
safety officers are concerned about how fast one can bring the vehicle to a safe stop.

so, what's your take on this?
should we drive within the speed limit?

Like in most countries, speed limits are not usually followed. There will always be posted limits but most people tend to drive 10% to 20% faster. Like in the US, people do 85mph on interstates with a 70mph limit or those running 70mph on 55mph zones.

My take is that if you think is car is capable enough to accelerate and brake within your driving skill, then go for it. If you find yourself speeding and you are caught, then be responsible enough to accept the consequences.

I admit that I drive faster than others and I make it a point to test how capable a new ride comes into my hand. However, I am watchful of marked speed cameras or dubious parked vehicles on the road side either here or driving on another country. I plan to make that trip to Germany soon and try out their no restriction autobahns.

Im a very defensive driver with a very heavy foot. Been driving for 25 years with ZERO accident. and been driving a lot. I put in a lot of mileage thru the years. Its not about speed yeah its about how safe a person can drive.

the "justifications" to speeding are many and varied.

a colleague recently found his good solution.
"dr. d! i got myself a driver! i can now take a nap.. the longer the traffic, the longer the nap!"

Reckless if you endanger others. The Germans have proven that giving people the option to go faster does not endanger slower drivers. If you can't drive fast on expressways, then keep on the slow lane. Driving slow on the fast lane is just being inconsiderate and reckless.

You need more than a good braking system to drive the car faster - engine, tranny, suspension, safety systems, etc. If you're car is not up for it, then don't push your car to speeds it can't sustain.

Back to topic - OT na tayo sobra.

Justifying a wrong with another wrong..how smart can that be?

The point is simple..drive safely..if theres a limit stay within the limit..if theres no limit then fly away with your life
